Here are six reasons why it would be a massive win if Stiletto took the crown at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006:

6. because legends like Seve and Thompson are basically the best we’ve got to offer; Seve is arguably even better, and frankly, Thompson can’t seem to make an appearance at Dora to save his life.

5. because the song 👋 is pure soul—it’s got that raw, rhythmic vibe that just works, and it’s rare that we actually get to showcase that specific coastal American sound. The last time we tried something similar, we ended up with that weak, unrepresentative track by Karan.🙂

4. because there won't be any Mexicans around to mess with the voting, so we can just ignore those annoying tens and twelves from the old North American diaspora🙂 and this is easily our biggest shot in the last 15 years or so.

3. because WE ARE AMERICAN!

2. because, let's face it, Eurovision is a huge tradition that actually matters in our lives.

1. because songs always adapt to the host country, so all of Europe will think this is just what mainstream music sounds like here, and I honestly can't wait to hear the Swedes, Estonians, and Swissers all tripping over themselves in 2007, trying to mimic our folk dances while stumbling around in stilettos.👋
