They wanted to play at KUT, but the venue was fully booked that night—so they asked me to track down another spot in the city. One condition, though: the place had to have a loud enough sound system. 😈

In case nobody remembers, Subtitle is that six-foot-plus, skinny Black guy who played at the venue earlier that same evening alongside Mars Volta and Radiohead. Personally? He was far superior to them both... an absolute genius. 🙏

Man, I’m seriously bummed I didn't get to do that back in my high school days... damn!
But hey, at least there won't be too many girls hanging around now that Still has left 😉

Because according to the website, the dates in Germany are listed a day earlier:

Absolute lunatics—Patton told them Fantomas Melvins Big Band is playing in Chicago on 4/17, and these idiots realized they have exactly two days off to swing through St. Louis first before heading over to Chicago to catch the show...
They basically left those two days open so we could get to New York City without any hassle—instead, we’re looking at burning through a massive amount of dollars on flights from Germany to Chicago and then from Milwaukee to New York City.

I think Still has been overdoing it lately with the excess—it’s reached a point where people just can't take it anymore... it's a shame.

They were quite distant originally, starting out as a duo before this later addition joined the fold... now Octopus has even more room to make noise, but honestly, I couldn't care less about that—I'm just gutted that Still is gone...

👋 This is my third time checking this out! Honestly, why isn't there more of that certain... vibe? 😢 I didn't really catch anything particularly over-the-top here. I might have said that about the other guy standing behind—you know, the one who looked like an octopus? He looked like he just stepped straight out of an episode of *Oz* wearing that white undershirt, but even then, he had a certain sweetness about him (total vanilla 🙂 )...

Man, where do I even start... remember that time in San Francisco when they played with Fantômas and the Melvins? He went on during their set and just did this massive fifteen-minute improv session. He was hitting his Vestax mixer and Technics turntables so hard he practically trashed them—if you can even break those things—and ended up with broken bones and sliced-up hands...

Or that crazy thing that happened near Limp Bizkit's last tour stop... I saw him at the hotel that morning, and once I heard what he’d pulled off, I honestly didn't know how he was still standing. 😲

He's a genuinely great guy, but man, when he loses it, he goes absolutely nuclear.😎
