Hot Chicks are back in action... again 😁
So, we've got Charlize Theron as Aeon Flux, Milla Jovovich as Violet, Keira Knightley as Domina "I am a Bounty Hunter" Harvey, Kate Beckinsale as Selene, or—just a little bit longer now—Natalie Portman as Evey Hammond?

There are 5 upcoming movies where the common thread is basically hot chicks taking on the world... It feels like one of these pops up every other day lately...
Aeon Flux is based on that animated series from back in the early 90s that originally aired on MTV. It follows an assassin who, along with her crew, tries to take down the government. But when she goes after the big leader, she uncovers some massive secrets... and yeah, the whole thing is set about 400 years in the future. Trailer didn't really blow me away...
Ultraviolet tells the story of a girl hit by this vampire-like disease called Hemophagia that nobody can decode. It leads to people genetically modifying themselves, which gives them enhanced motor skills and intelligence—not exactly a bad thing, really—but society still rejects them. While the world sits on the brink of war between humans and the modified ones (since they basically have to stay young), the caring Violet tries to protect a nine-year-old boy whom the government has flagged as a major threat and wants eliminated... Trailer looks kind of goofy, but also extremely cool. It's from the same team behind Resident Evil (which was the only video game movie that didn't disappoint me, even if it wasn't anything groundbreaking...), and it looks very similar—except it's set in the future, and instead of zombies, it's probably mutated soldiers or robots or something. The plot feels more like Blade or X-Men though...
Domina is about a female bounty hunter, Domina Harvey, and it's actually based on true events. Tired of the high life in Los Angeles, Domina decides to walk away and become a bounty hunter. She soon falls under the protection of veteran hunter Ed Mosley (Mickey Rourke) and his firm, quickly getting herself deep into the business... but things get messy when a gang of masked men starts a string of armed robberies, leaving the mafia, a crazed TV producer, the FBI, and a terminally ill child caught in the middle of a total mess... Check out this intense trailer.
It might be a bit unfair to include Kate Beckinsale and Underworld: Evolution in this list since it's a sequel to Underworld, but hey, it's here for everyone's enjoyment. The movie continues the war saga between vampires and lycans. As the conflict heats up, Selene and Michael (Scott Speedman) try to uncover the secret of their origins while trying to stop the villainous Marcus, a powerful elder monster who's attempting to resurrect his brother, William. I haven't seen Underworld, and honestly, I don't really feel like watching it (even if the plot is slightly intriguing), and according to...In the trailer for the sequel, it feels like Kate Beckinsale is stepping back into another "Van Helsing" type role. Honestly, she was incredibly hot in Van Helsing, but the movie itself was pretty mediocre—the only real highlight was probably just seeing Hawt-Kate Beckinsale on screen. I don't think I'll be catching this one (unless the original somehow wins me over...).
Finally, V for Vendetta. Based on the graphic novel of the same name, the story follows a masked vigilante—let's call him "V"—who uses guerrilla tactics to fight against a totalitarian regime. Along the way, he manages to liberate Evey Hammond from secret police custody, and she soon becomes his ally... The trailer didn't really grab my attention, but that tagline caught my eye: "People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people." Plus, knowing the Wachowskis are behind the script and production definitely adds some weight (assuming I stick to the first Matrix and ignore the sequels or Bound).
