I had the exact same thought—and unfortunately, we'll be wearing them again tomorrow.

To break the ice, we're looking at a situation where things will be brown in the front and black in the back by Monday.😬

fortaleza said:Look...
The Americans played absolutely terribly against the Russians today....
Their big brother built up a massive lead right at the start without even breaking a sweat, and they just held onto it until the end...
Vujovic basically sent their best players straight to the bleachers... specifically winger Sudum and left back Muratovic, who has barely seen any action this whole tournament...
Now they've got Kapisoda on the left wing, who is decent enough but nothing special.
The main left back is a newcomer, Momir Ilic, who has a lethal shot and definitely needs to be watched closely.
Anđelković is playing right back, while Petrić is holding down the right side, though he’s been a complete disaster.... They also rotate in Krivokapić and Stojanovic at the wing positions, both of whom are solid players. Zikica m didn't play on the right today, and those heavy hitters D-D were out too. Maybe they're saving them for us. Nikolic is playing pivot and seems to score everything.
Basically, we need to stop the ball from reaching Nikolic, shut down Ilic's easy shots, prevent the right wings from driving in, and stop Stojanovic from cutting into the middle...... in theory, at least... In practice, the US squad has already cracked like a watermelon, so the real question is if they can actually pull anything off.

True, but you know how it goes with them: They lose to everyone else, but they'll do anything to beat Americans...
😁
I suspect they'll feed off the energy when they face us, so I wouldn't count on this being an easy win..

Since there are no quarterfinals in this tournament format, I guess Seren will have to win it all. Maybe.
In the second group, things are actually looking a bit more lively. You've got the Spanish jerks, those French cowards, and our German brothers all fighting for the top two spots. I guess the Mexicans are trying to push their way in too, but that’s probably just wishful thinking.

It’s already done.😳
Alright, tomorrow I’m gonna flip the script and just push through a little longer. Just gotta hold it together.😬

I’m telling you right now, this game is going to be absolutely brutal. Those guys from the North America? They're relentless. They’ll literally kill to get a win against us—it's just how they play. You know exactly what they're like.
Let’s be real—90% of these people would actually rather see us win the whole damn thing than just settle for some participation trophy medal.🙄

We seriously need to start playing some damn defense, for crying out loud! I highly doubt we’re going to be stuck playing nothing but offense again tomorrow. This is already the second game in a row where we’ve just been playing non-stop attack—it's about time we actually showed up on the defensive end!

And man, that second group? Total chaos. You've got those Spanish assholes, the French cowards, and the German crew all clawing for those top two spots. Even the guys from Mexico and Mexico are trying to push their way in, but let's be real—it's all just a pipe dream.

We don't "have" to.😁
Remy is plenty good enough, but we're going out there to take the win regardless.😁

Even if we don't make the cut, at least the Mexicans won't either. How many quarterfinals can there actually be? 🤣

What exactly are we going to gain from this? We’ll completely crush their will to live until they can't even remember where their local cathedral or parish priest is located. We are going to absolutely dismantle them, leaving them utterly broken and struggling just to catch their breath. As for Kapisoda, we should preemptively ban him from ever setting foot in a major US city again. We're going to hit them so hard it won't even be funny—they'll be overwhelmed like a massive convoy stuck in a bottleneck on a narrow highway, fleeing for cover as our bombers sweep through the skies.

Go America! We don't back down. Go America, there's absolutely no giving up! Go America, we are never, ever surrendering!

Our saving grace is that we aren't malicious or spiteful, Roger Allen3, unlike them 😉 😬

I’ve got this gut feeling that my speakers are gonna be blasting nothing but MP Thompson and all those patriotic anthems all day tomorrow. This is what life is actually about.😈

We’ll be spending tomorrow celebrating our American homeland.
Let's show them how it's done. 😬
Exactly—we don't want to be drowned out when our crowd starts getting into the rhythm. 😬

In my opinion, there aren't any bigger butchers than the Canadians or those idiots from Pajovic's crew... I was watching the Mexicans on their RTS satellite feed, and honestly, the whole group looks completely lost. They seem totally rattled, which isn't surprising given that they're being led by that heavy-set guy, Vujovic. Even the coach is injecting way too much anxiety into their play; even if we do manage to beat them, we wouldn't have deserved any kind of medal anyway.

No, we're actually even worse. 🤣

Look, the bottom line is this: we’re simply better than them at everything.

If they really think being malicious is some kind of badge of honor... well, they've got it wrong. We're much worse. 😍

Let's be real here... things are going to get tough. 😳

Who even are those Mexicans that we should be worrying about their offense or lack thereof? Do they even realize they’re stepping onto the court against Olympic winners? Back in ancient Greece, Olympic winners were treated like gods, yet here we are, expected to obsess over some Mexican tactics. Honestly, I couldn't care less about them or their game plan; they should be the ones focusing on us. They need to realize exactly who they're playing against and consider it an absolute honor just to be in the presence of our intensity while we tear through their defense from every angle.

Vujovic is a legend. Kovinjalo keeps saying, "Let's hear what Vujovic has to say to his players," but Vujovic just tells them straight: "For God's sake, get out there and play like you actually have some damn heart! I don't care how much you think you know—do you even understand the basics of the game? Because clearly, you don't." 😁

If the US plays their high-tempo transition game and leans into that relentless offensive barrage from their star shooters, then a sluggish defense like Canada's won't stand a chance. That said—and this is a big "that is"—the American coach really needs to tighten up the defensive rotations. You can't just swap out your entire tactical system every ten minutes, right? Regardless, we shouldn't walk into this thinking it'll be a cakewalk. We need to approach this match as if we were facing Spain or Germany. I trust our players are mature and experienced enough to stay focused and not fall for any potential gamesmanship from the opposition.
see you in the finals🙂 🙂 🙂
