Also, I'll eat just about anything dairy-based except for kefir; that stuff is just not for me. Plus, I can't stand all that nonsense packaged in tiny little bottles—half of it stays stuck to the inside, so then I have to tap the bottle, smear it on my nose, stumble down the sidewalk while doing it, and deal with the bewildered stares of everyone walking by. 😠 Especially those pathetic little 6-ounce or 10-ounce portions. What a complete waste of money, packaging, and sanity. 😠 😠

My top 5 most awkward trips by bus:

1) Leaving from Miami when the bus caught fire, leaving us stuck near a rest stop in the middle of the night in the pouring rain waiting for a replacement.
2) Heading to Zurich, when some guy tried to smuggle a whole roasted pig in an Adidas bag in the luggage compartment 😬 and the Swiss customs officers wouldn't let us cross the border because the owner of the bag refused to come forward.
3) Leaving from Orlando, on a bus run by a local transport company out of a small town, packed with soldiers returning from their weekend leave—and I was the only woman on the entire bus.
4) When the bus broke down somewhere in the middle of nowhere between two rural towns, and some guy actually had to pee inside the bus because the doors were jammed shut.
4) Sitting next to this heavy-set lady who spent the entire ride from Chicago to Atlanta devouring stuffed peppers while it was 95 degrees inside and the AC was broken (and I was already feeling sick).

My #1 favorite trip by the ocean:

When I set off on a ferry from an island intending to dock in a major port and catch a bus, but the crowds were so massive that I just decided to hitch a ride on the ferry all the way to a coastal city instead. I ate some delicious sandwiches, slept through the night on a couch in the lounge, and there was this old man playing "Besame Mucho" on a piano.😍

I once became so obsessed with Corny that I actually tried to manufacture my own version at home using the ingredients list—peanuts, coconut (with a splash of rum), and chocolate. They turned out quite well, actually; we nicknamed them "horny."
