If they had gone with a rawer sound, I think the band would have felt way more convincing. Maybe not right out of the gate, but definitely as time went on.

The guitars NEED to be crisp... and they ARE.
The drums need to be raw enough to hit hard... and they DO.
And that muddy bass tone? It fits them perfectly, and it's EXACTLY what they've got.

So what's the issue?

🙏 🙏 🙏 People didn't have the patience to read Zane Grey for me (seriously, what happened to actual writing?), so I got pissed off and decided to teach myself to read when I was four and a half just so I wouldn't have to rely on anyone else...

Man, respect, but you’re getting ahead of yourself... I still find myself missing those childhood books sometimes. Honestly, I don't know much about that whole genre because I skipped straight to more mature stuff before I even hit middle school. I was already devouring Zane Grey and Kishon, and by the fifth grade, I was deep into Marquez, Grasso, and that whole crowd. Even now, I couldn't tell you much about Saroyan, Kastner, or Seliškar... wouldn't really have anything to contribute if they came up in conversation.

So you actually think you were supposed to read them just for the sake of having a conversation? Oh my god. Give me a break. 😁
