Sandra Chase16 said:Alright, here is my definitive ranking of those Christmas cards based on the artists.
1. Vjekoslav Vojo radoicห‡ic (the one with the Brodic family)
- Vasko Lipovac - sailor and fish (just okay)
- Rudolf labasห‡ - look, Iโ€™m not usually into angels, but this one looks a bit quirky, so Iโ€™ll give it a pass.

The absolute worst is the one by Zlatana Vrkljanโ€”just some plaster collage angel nonsense. Meanwhile, the one by lovrencห‡ic is tolerable, mostly because it reminds me of those old illustrations from my elementary school textbooks.
And sห‡utejev is just pointless to me. What even is that? A pile of gifts or just a heap of junk?
- ?uro The New York Times - mediocre at best
- atacห‡ - a semi-nude lady and a guy in a suit; honestly, it isn't half bad.

Something is missing here. I probably haven't had enough beer yet.

That very last word in your post gave you awayโ€”you're a woman, and frankly, I am floored. Who else knows this much about beer labels and drinks while sitting down? I tip my hat to you...

Kudos to you!

Who else in the Beer Lovers Society is actually an expert besides aripekke and someone who likes to degustirati Marzen Jezick? Are you guys coming to the meetup on December 10th at 6:00 PM?

dmj said:Look, Franz Ferdinand might not be "phenomenal," but theyโ€™re the kind of band that would have actually made waves back in, say, 1979 and stuck around as something genuinely solid. They've got that vibeโ€”kind of like The Undertones...

If it weren't for the Gang of Four, those guys would've just ended up ripping off stuff from the sixties๐Ÿ˜โ€”honestly, without them, they wouldn't have had a clue what to do with themselves.

It's just basic, run-of-the-mill hype.๐Ÿ‘Ž

Though, I wouldn't say I have much resistance to the sheer volume of it all.๐Ÿ˜ณ

Also, does joining the club happen to come with a homebrewing kit?๐Ÿ˜

Hmm, I guess that isn't really an argument in their favorโ€”if anything, it's the opposite. ๐Ÿ˜

Franz Ferdinand is a total fake from '77, but whatever, they're alright.
And honestly, they aren't that far off from Interpol either; if you look at what separates them from gentlepuma20, they're basically in the same orbit.
I really need to start listening to something actually modern.

Since thereโ€™s already a motto in his signature and total chaos in his head, itโ€™s high time Zelig puts out a music-themed special issue to soundtrack his constant forum posting.

'1977' performed by Billy Childish & thee Mighty Caesars:

in 1977 i Hopa i go to Heaven ' Cos i been too Long on The dol and i can't work AT All Danger Stranger you Better paint Your faca no Elvis
'Cos I been too long on the dole
And I can't work at all

Danger stranger
You better paint your face
No Elvis, Beatles, or the Rolling Stones
In 1977

...

In 1977
You're on the never never
You think it can't go on forever
But the papers say it's better
I don't care 'cos I'm not all there
No Elvis, Beatles or the Rolling Stones

And then we have this very important numerological sequence...

In 1977
Sod the jubilee
In 1978
In 1979
Stayed in bed
In 1980
In 1981
The toilet don't work
In 1982
In 1983
Here come the police
In 1984

Childish delivered the ultimate cover of The Clash with "We're Selling jeans for The U. S. A." ๐Ÿ˜

No, actuallyโ€”Iโ€™d managed to pick up some hops and sourced this incredible mineral water from deep within some remote glacier, but then they started renovations on my building and the basement got far too warm. The water was finished off, and the hops just withered away.

I just noticed on my calendar thereโ€™s a little pig icon next to today's date, and right at the bottom, next to that little star, it says:
*harvest festival

Billy is the Tzar.
I recently overheard some absolute nonsense claiming that The Clash might be reuniting with Timom-Rancid.
Look, I love both bands, but if there's any truth to that rumor, they seriously need to get their heads checked!!!

๐Ÿ˜ Since we're on the subject, if you're actually planning on swinging through Chvar this Thursday, don't be a jerkโ€”bring me a copy of that "Meat" magazine for the modern man. I seriously need to check it out. Is there even a red meat lovers club around here?

I caught wind of it too, but just once. If a rumor that massive were actually true, Iโ€™d be hearing it everywhere; itโ€™s too shocking to stay quiet...

Reforming The Clash by swapping out Joe would be pathetic, especially since he spent years stubbornly refusing to even entertain the idea (and frankly, he was right to).

Let me introduce you to the guy who got hit with an "it's either the beer or me" ultimatum from his girlfriend. You know what he did? He grabbed every single pot, grain, hop, and bottle in sight and just vanished!!!!

Honestly, the only thing capable of delivering such harsh criticism to me would be my own liver.

Nah, but even if you play the flute, the beer still comes out the wrong way... ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
Anyway, you seriously need to show up to our town hall meeting on December 10th.

I am honored.
Then I could head over to Reddit afterwards and cause some trouble.
