Carol Jackson45 said:Not really. You just wedge one fingernail under another and—*click*. I know plenty of people who do it all the time. Just please, don't do it near me! 🙂

Okay, I tried it. Can you hear me now? 😁

Just kidding, though. It’s kind of pointless and I don't want you chipping my polish 😉

Still waiting for a brilliant idea to hit me for the top ten list...

Honestly, nothing gets under my skin quite like the sound of a fork scraping against a metal pan 😱
And don't even get me started on loud smacking, swallowing, or someone pouring a drink—especially when I have to sit there and listen to it during a movie, preferably in a crowded theater! 😱

There’s plenty more where that came from...
But that’s pretty much the top of the list for now. 😁

It’s funny how it works, isn't it? It’s always everyone else’s behavior that gets under my skin...

Just kidding, that was useless. Now my nails are all messed up. 😉

Man, that sound makes my skin crawl too. It's like when someone scrapes a fork against a plate. Just pure cringe.

The second the mercury dips below 70, my lips start cracking and my skin goes totally dry; this weather is absolutely killing me.

Red Wave said:1. Dogs barking endlessly

2. People scurrying around at all hours
3. Drills and other construction noise
4. That phone that keeps waking me up
5. Engines revving in the street
6. A mosquito buzzing right by your ear all night while you're trying to kill it

For me, it’s definitely 6, 3, and 2.

As for my favorite seasons:

1. Summer 😍 (like when Yellow Spot hits)
2. A dry spring
3. A dry autumn
4. Winter with actual snow
5. The humid monsoon season
..
(n/a) A winter without any snow at all

Carol Jackson45 said:A few unlucky dolphins got tossed up by the wave and dozens of cows couldn't make it out of the barn—just typical farm animals. And then there were hundreds of thousands of dead or missing people, but oh my god, why bother with them when you can focus on helping a dolphin get back into the ocean? 🙄

Honestly, I don't get how anyone can be such a massive fan of humans.😕 Humans are just biologically arrogant, parasitic pests.🙂
Man, I once knew a guy in Chicago who threw his dog off a fourth-story balcony, and while the poor thing was still dying, he actually wanted to go to jail for it.😲 We are hands down the most messed-up species on this entire planet—the only ones that actively seek out extinction.

In nature, you’ll never find a pride of lions that slaughters fifty antelopes just so four of them can eat (that's the easy answer for evolutionary fitness).

(Civilization-wise), humans have totally overvalued themselves as a culture. Collectively, we are just plain unintelligent—and here, the Gaussian curve doesn't lie.
And here's one from some Senate fan club dedicated to "😁Timothy Jones85 the mute
": Beneath layers of rehearsed platitudes, even within the most advanced minds of limited people, this debate feels activist-driven.

And I am definitely not an activist.👋

It’s much better to just hook up with people instead.

True, but a lion will turn on its own cubs without blinking.

I can already see the horror movie title: "Return of the Gaussian Curve: Total Massacre 5."

My top 5 times of the week, ranked by vibe

1. Friday night, 9 PM onwards—assuming you actually decide to leave the house.🙂
2. Saturday afternoons, specifically when there’s absolutely zero on the agenda.
3. Sunday mornings, 11 AM to 1 PM—think grabbing coffee at Starbucks and hitting the local sportsbook.☕
4. Sunday afternoons, 3 PM to 7 PM—best enjoyed poolside if you're feeling like James Bond.
5. Tuesday and Wednesday nights during Champions League matches.

A lioness watches her male to make sure he doesn't snack on the cubs—though honestly, that rarely happens... kind of an analogy for abortion rates (if you've ever looked at the stats!) and how much later in life people are choosing motherhood these days

The topic isn't stupid, per se—maybe it’s just the wrong time or place for it, but since this forum is all about discussing differences anyway🙂
I’ve asked plenty of people if they actually know when humans first appeared, how we evolved, or how many different human cultures and species have existed—and what "culture" even means in this context
So far, I haven't run into anyone who's said anything remotely intelligent beyond the usual "we were hairy primitives and then evolution happened, so here we are..." People have zero clue about our actual placement in time and space. I just wanted to see what the vibe was on this forum regarding these things... well, I've seen enough, though I could keep going

Sapienti sat🙂

Good grief. Some absolute monster just threw his dog off a fourth-story apartment building in Chicago. And get this—while the poor little thing was still dying, he actually tried to club it. It’s sickening. Truly depraved.😲 We are hands down the most messed up species on this entire planet. We are truly the only ones out there actively driving ourselves toward extinction.

In nature, you will never witness a pride of lions slaughtering fifty antelopes only to have four of them eat. It simply doesn't happen. That is just how the world works.

Humanity has completely overrated itself as a culture. It’s an unjustified delusion. Collectively, we are just plain unintelligent. The Gaussian curve doesn't lie. It is relentless.
And here is one more from Congress for the "Timothy Jones85 the Mafia" fan club.😁 :
Beneath all those layers of rehearsed clichés—even when dealing with the most advanced arguments from narrow-minded people—this entire debate feels like nothing more than pure activism.

Timothy Jones85 said:In the wild, you’ll never see a pride of lions kill fifty antelopes just to eat four—that’s just inefficient survival.

But then again, you definitely see packs of wolves doing exactly that to sheep. A lion isn't being "merciful" to the antelope—it's just that hunting one is hard enough, let alone fifty.
Besides, have you ever actually seen a male lion skip a meal just to feed his kids? I don't think so.

So, what exactly does someone mean by "biologically superior," anyway? 🤣

gentlepuma20 said:but you’ll just run into a pack of wolves ready to tear those sheep apart. A lion doesn't spare an antelope out of some sense of morality—it's because hunting one single antelope is hard enough, let alone fifty of them.
plus, have you ever actually seen a father lion pass up a meal just to feed his kids? Never happens.

So, what does "biologically arrogant" even mean here? 🤣

Hey, how's it going, gentlepuma20?😁 My working hours are gonna fly by if I don't deal with your "genius" insights.🙂

You’re totally mixing up apples and oranges here... In the wild, every species has its own purpose—to sustain that specific kind. Sheep are domestic animals, bred specifically to be slaughtered (for wool, meat, etc.)... You won't find "morality" in the wild; that's a human invention... What we're really looking at is the law of limited competition, which prevents one species from wiping out another because they're interconnected.
It’s impossible to truly grasp how nature functions from a civilized standpoint because we've drifted way too far from it. So, please, stop trying to force arguments and perspectives onto this that have nothing to do with actual Nature (Life) and everything to do with our little human tricks.

"Biologically arrogant" would imply that we are assuming someone else's biology as our own entirely.😉
