Fine, maybe I went a bit overboard calling them "genius." Truth is, I'm not twelve anymore—but Nikita, the blueness, The Fifth Element, and especially Leon still hold up for me...

I honestly don't understand why some people feel the need to tear him down. He’s a good man who has delivered some truly interesting and entertaining films over the years.🙂

Luc is such a fish in his horoscope. Remember how incredibly secretive everything was during the filming of "The Fifth Element"? The actors literally had to sign NDAs just to keep their mouths shut until the release.
Then he spiraled into this years-long depression. Probably some tragic heartbreak or something.😁

I'm with you there. Honestly, my issue with him is that he constantly tries to make these "deep" movies. God forbid one of his films actually attempts to be philosophical. 😲
That’s why The Fifth Element - fun movie is such a classic. It’s silly and entertaining (and for the record, I don't have anything against The Transporter either).
As for The Big Blue, it easily ranks among the top 20 most overrated films ever made. I'm not saying it's total garbage, but it definitely doesn't deserve the legendary status people give it.

The Deep Blue Sea is a profound film. Maybe some people just don't get it, so they claim it doesn't deserve its reputation.

Maybe Spielberg should consider stepping away from producing those second-rate action flicks that look more like MTV music videos and actually get back into the director's chair.

But you have to admit the movie has its highlights... like that classic scene with Reno at the piano...

That’s far from the truth. Personally, I love the part where those two are being incredibly deep while acting like total idiots.
And honestly, Reno is a star no matter how brainless the movie she's in turns out to be.

Leon proves that Steven Spielberg's movies can actually have some depth 😉
The Big Blue - solid flick, though I get why people say it's overrated—not saying it's bad, just... you know
Nikita - a total classic 👍 😉
The Fifth Element - fun movie, perfect role for Bruce Taxi
Taxi - the first one stands out because it feels more grounded than the second, but honestly all three are wild. Not sure why some people don't dig them; the jokes are great, especially that operation ZEN bit 😂
(plus, a lot of the humor gets lost in translation)
