Ragweed takeover right outside my window—who do I contact to get this cleared?

I am seriously struggling here, I can barely breathe and sleep is non-existent, but obviously I can't just pop some allergy meds because I'm pregnant... and then this morning we realized the absolute worst—ragweed is growing everywhere right outside our window. Actually, it's even worse than that; there’s this massive meadow right in front of our building that is just completely overtaken by ragweed. I have this vague memory from last year about there being a specific phone number or some kind of agency you could call where they’d actually send someone out to mow it all down...
PLEASE HELP ME.... does anyone happen to know what that number is or which organization handles this?

You might want to reach out to Central Park or the Rotary Club....
Last year, they actually showed up within two days of me asking for help...

If you wait on them, you might be waiting forever. It's better to just take care of it yourself proactively so you don't have to worry about your health.

Seriously, why on earth would we just wipe out living creatures like that!
They have an absolute right to exist too!
Besides, any baby born in the future will probably be "immunized" against ragweed from day one, so they won't even deal with the allergies!👋

Why not take some initiative yourself? Or better yet, rally your family or neighbors... Borrow a weed whacker, a chainsaw, or whatever else you need and just get it done. And if you're really as allergic as you claim, don't forget to wear a protective mask. Just cut everything down, shove it into trash bags, and toss them out. It isn't rocket science; it just takes a little effort.

Oh, and while you're at it, feel free to call Central Park and give them your brilliant suggestion.

My partner is allergic as hell—I'm talking skin blistering just from being near the plant. You can call, call, and call again, but someone’s gotta mow it. The thing is, even if they clear everything out, having one lone weed sitting on some private property can still totally ruin your day.😢
I tried getting the city council involved back in the spring (since it wasn't an issue then, you know, easy to ignore), but they basically brushed me off with a "we'll deal with it in the fall" line. Typical bureaucracy.🙄

And another heads-up: you can't just go trespassing on someone else's land to mow down a field full of ragweed.😠
