UCLA has screwed up again—and this time, they really botched it. They released Wes Craven's 'Cursed' in our local video stores, but instead of the original 'R' rated cut that played in theaters everywhere else outside the States, they gave us the censored PG-13 version used in the US.

Anyone who actually saw the original cut will tell you that those bloodier scenes were the only thing saving the movie. Honestly, I feel ripped off; I rented a version I had absolutely zero interest in watching.

If you're heading down to the video rental shop, do yourself a favor and skip this one. This butchered edit isn't how Wes Craven makes movies. Even if they put the original scenes back in, it wouldn't be a masterpiece, but at least it would be watchable.

Honestly, they’re just incompetent. Their company is basically a breeding ground for idiots. Every single DVD they put out looks absolutely terrible—I swear a blind guy could do a better job using Windows 95 - US edition-. You pop the disc in, sit through thirty minutes of ads, and by the time you actually reach the menu, it feels like you're staring at a monitor stuck on a 256-color resolution setting. grbavoooooo😲

And don't even get me started on this latest trend—releasing movies in 4:3 Fullscreen format😲 😲 Who on earth thought that was a good idea??? What's The fucking Point?

The whole thing needs to be shut down.😠

People who have seen the original version say those extra bloody scenes are actually what save the movie, so I feel pretty cheated after renting a version I didn't even want to watch in the first place.

If you're heading down to the video store, you might want to steer clear of this one. This butchered edit just isn't the kind of movie Wes Craven makes. Even if they put the scenes back in, it wouldn't be a masterpiece, but at least it would be watchable!

Josh, this is exactly why I've decided I'm only buying movies I actually want from Amazon.com (if they aren't available on the US site) or by ordering through my guy at DINATON! 😉

I honestly don't get why Wes Craven keeps churning out these absolute disasters lately. I'm really crossing my fingers that Red Eye turns out okay!

yeah... it's totally unbelievable, super watered down, and stars C. Ricci and J. Jackson in a "horror" flick?? 😲
the soundtrack actually saves it—like, the whole thing basically relies on it...

I just grabbed the movie. That’s about it.
