Drugs & Music

It’s honestly ridiculous—people keep coming up to me, asking if I have any more stuff to get me high... As if. If the music is actually good, then I don't need anything else besides the occasional sip of water so I don't pass out from dehydration. I might consider a drink if the music is total garbage—though I'm not counting beer in that category.

Marijuana... happens way too often, if I'm being honest

Cocaine pops up occasionally... though certainly not as much as the weed..

Back when I was younger, it was mostly just candy and stuff like that... very little else

The occasional Pasha paired with a solid electronic beat, just taking something to feel it all

You can also just zone out... say you're sitting there and you just don't feel like doing anything... that happens more often.

Back when I was about 15, I tried smoking foil a couple of times. It hits pretty hard... Back in our day, people used to treat it like some kind of artistic alternative to glue...
I've been much more serious about my habits since then.

Honestly, I’ll take whatever happens to fall into my lap—but let’s be real, when you're out on the grass at a festival, any music sounds pretty damn good... so, yeah...

For anyone looking to trip, you don't need to be some total psycho—you just want to feel "normal," not have your brain completely fried. Honestly, I never fell for that nonsense when I was out there—I’ve already walked through the gates of perception. Besides, you can listen to Floyd and all that other incredible classic music without needing any help; that stuff is powerful and intoxicating enough on its own, even if certain things just look better with a little extra edge.

Passing through the doors of perception on a trip? That was me back in middle school when I first heard The Doors and was crushing on a girl who wasn't interested... I thought, "I'll try it..." So I did, a few years later... Either you find it totally boring to chase those spikes while tripping, or you've completely lost it and are searching for something that isn't there...
In my experience, I've tried it, but it's much more fun to just hang out with friends than to attempt a journey into your own psyche... You don't need drugs for that kind of stuff... They are just there to add to the fun... yeah!

Regardless, as long as we have that one guy in the room who always seems to be carrying a heavy suitcase of nonsense, everyone else's silly little rhymes are easily forgiven.

I tried it once, and honestly, nothing happened besides laughing for hours. I didn't see any "doors of perception" or hear colors in the music. Not even close. None of the people I know had that experience either. I guess it wasn't exactly 'intelligent.'

I absolutely had to find out what "In-a-gadda-da-vida" sounds like while tripping... I mean, that’s literally why the track exists. It sounds perfect. It doesn't just feel eighteen minutes long; it feels like hours, and honestly, every single second is pure gold.

But then again, it sounds just as perfect sober. Unless I somehow manage to become a permanent resident of a dream state, that experience is probably going to be a one-time thing for me.
