Man, it's easily the best.

And what I mean is, you don't need to be high to actually feel the music. Honestly, most people end up turning to substances just because everyone else is doing it... staying level-headed isn't exactly easy in this world.🙂

If I were to weigh in, I'd say it’s less about "understanding" the music on a technical level and more about the intensity of the experience. Music is all about perception. Certain substances just seem to heighten those senses and lower your inhibitions, making everything feel a bit more... vivid, I suppose.

Over there, people are talking about nature and love (love, right?)—but here you're just geeking out over mushrooms.
I mean, don't get me wrong, mushrooms are definitely part of nature, but I think you know what I'm getting at... 🙄

Anyway, personally, I find music hits the hardest when I'm sober... it's just beautiful... though sometimes maybe a little alcohol helps me connect with people... but hey, that's still perfectly legal...

Hmm, I think I read somewhere that Donovan actually wrote "Mellow Yellow" just to mess with people—to trick them into thinking banana peels had some kind of hallucinogenic kick. 🙂 It was a clever bit of trolling, if that was truly his intention.

.....My only issue with drugs back when I was a kid was reading that massive 500-page book, psychology & drugs. It gave me such a headache that I lost all interest in ever trying anything...😁

Honestly, I don't need anything extra to really experience music; it’s just woven into the very fabric of my life, from the moment I roll out of bed until I finally crash at night.

But, if I want that same music to actually transport me somewhere else—to carry me off into some other dimension entirely... well, there’s usually something involved in that process, depending on how I’m feeling, how much cash I have to burn, and whether I actually have the time or the headspace for it.
