Casual Elvis and Buddy Moose at Spunk on 6/10!

So, I suppose we should discuss which Dirtbombs, White Stripes, Casual Elvis, and Buddy Moose acts are hitting the stage at Spunk this Friday the tenth!😁

Admission is free, and I imagine anyone craving twangy, fuzzy—or rather, just plain loud—red guitars will find something to enjoy. Expect plenty of melancholy ballads about loss and redemption, perhaps a few less somber tunes regarding secretaries, some songs about fruit, and maybe even some virtuosic mandolin solos in the Mixolydian scale.👋

As for the performance by Casual Elvis and Buddy Moose, I really shouldn't say anything. Actually, I probably will; just try to picture eight people on the Spunk stage performing an unpolished country symphony, all equipped with accordions and castanets. Yes, I know, how lovely.🙄 😁

I spent a solid hour getting all hyped up reading the updates on the babies' page about them coming to Chicago on June 10th to play with Buddy Moose—and then you guys come crashing in with that damn Spunk!!!😠
So what’s the deal with the river show? Is it pushed back or just straight-up canceled? Honestly, forget your version of New York, the concerts, and all that nonsense—I can't exactly fly into NYC every single week! I'm typing this so fast I might actually get kicked out of the library—and it's all your fault!

Where did all the Spunk fans disappear to? 😢

Carol Jackson45 makes a fair point—how on earth are they going to fit that many fans in with this kind of marketing? 🙂 It really should have been a secret show, just spreading the word through word-of-mouth.

Look, I should probably apologize in advance for being (un)justifiably selfish here—I really wanted to catch you guys, but a 10-year reunion in a colorful little town like Jacksonville is a pretty hard offer to pass up 🙂...But, hey, I’ll try to work out those tour dates they mentioned, so maybe I’ll actually make it up to you...

I suppose I should mention that we are also quite disappointed about missing the chance to play with the Babies. I wouldn't have been able to make it to the festival that weekend regardless, so I am honestly not entirely sure who finalized those arrangements. In any case, good luck with the show in Chicago and all that; I imagine it will be quite a success.🙂
