Since I haven't read the original comic, I can't say how much they butchered it for the screen, but honestly, the movie isn't half bad. The special effects aren't even that terrible...

Either my standards are too low or yours are just way too high...

I have a feeling we might see a sequel, too (anyone who watched Doom's takeover of Latveria should be able to guess where this is going)

I must apologize, though I am certainly close to the mark; one could argue that Dodgeball is the true king of the genre, particularly if one manages to secure the special collector's edition DVD. 😁

So, basically, things go sideways during an experimental space flight, and these four people end up getting hit by cosmic rays. Then there's his girlfriend, Sue Storm, who can turn invisible and whip up force fields, calling herself the Invisible Woman. Her little brother, Johnny Storm, gains the ability to control fire, which includes wrapping himself in flames, making him the Human Torch. And the pilot, Ben Grimm, gets transformed into this super strong rock creature known as The Thing. Together, they use their unique powers to explore the strange aspects of the world and to foil the evil plans of Doctor Doom.

Man, he's definitely the best out of the four—well, obviously right next to Jessica Alba.

The effects are alright, I guess, though the stretching guy looks a little bit fake to me.
The plot is decent, but there are some random bits that don't really connect—like that stuff with the rock guy (The Thing) using the elevator and a few other things...
but overall, it's definitely worth a watch.👍 👍

I have a soft spot for comic book adaptations and superhero flicks.
I enjoy watching Jessica Alba.
I didn't bother going to see this movie.

I caught a glimpse of him just a couple of weeks ago...

The movie felt a little too short for my taste, and honestly? Doom gets wrecked in like three minutes flat... 🙄

Everything else was pretty decent! 🙂

The movie was a total disaster.
It didn't even come close to being as good as the X-Men.

I actually really liked it-
It wasn't dragging along like Spider-Man, and it didn't have all that unnecessary drama they shoved into Hulk,
Just pure fun. Exactly how a comic book movie ought to be handled.
