Anyone here actually have experience messing around with grain sprouts?

So, I was flipping through some recent issues of "Popular Mechanics," and they had these pretty interesting deep dives into grains and legumes. They mentioned how sprouting them makes them way more nutrient-dense—like, much higher vitamin content compared to just eating regular unsprouted grain.

I guess I'm wondering... what’s the best way to build or set up a decent sprouting setup?

I'm currently digging around online for a bit.
The keywords I've been using are "sprouter," "sprouting," and "sprouts"—honestly, there's way more stuff popping up on Google with those than if I searched for "germs" or "germinator."

Does anyone happen to know where I could pick up a sprouter around here? (I'm specifically looking for somewhere near Cleveland).

Yeah, exactly. Just a slip of the tongue, I guess. 😉

Anyway, I was reading in some health guide that it isn't just grain sprouts that are good, but legumes too, I think.

If you're looking for a ritual bowl in Washington, D.C., you can pick one up at any Whole Foods Market

I’ve been reading some cool pieces in "Popular Mechanics" lately about grains and legumes, and they mentioned how sprouting them makes them super nutritious—way more vitamins than just eating the dry grain.

So, I'm wondering, what's the secret to making a good little sprouting setup at home?

I tried doing wheat sprouts myself. Basically, you soak the wheat in a bowl overnight (or even all day if you want). Then, grab a shallow dish, line it with some damp cheesecloth, spread the wheat out in a thin layer, and cover it with another piece of cloth. It takes about three days to get them to a good eating size. Every morning and night, just dampen the top cloth and give the wheat a light misting with water. Don't go overboard with the water; just enough to keep things moist.
Wheat sprouts are vitamin goldmines, but definitely watch where you buy your grain so you aren't getting stuff loaded with pesticides.

But does anyone actually have a recipe for this stuff? Like, how do you even use it? Do you just eat it plain, or what do you pair it with? 😕 ......

Or should I just start a new thread over in the food forum?

Here's a little bit about what's inside these seeds...

And here's some info on how to grow them, too...
