and he's got a gun to his head, things are getting pretty wild in the bedroom, and he’s got like 60 seconds to pull it off... obviously he makes it—because in those movies, the protagonist is always the absolute best in the world, the fastest, the smartest, no competition at all)

I mean, look at it this way

if he didn't actually succeed, there wouldn't even be a story to tell, I guess.😉

Roughly. There are piles of clichés we could live without, but superhero movies just don't feel quite right without... well, a *hero*.

One of the most exhausted, totally played-out tropes in movies and TV shows is when they finally corner some suspect—who, let's be honest, we already know is guilty because the plot demands it—and start laying out all the evidence against them, whether it’s a murder or some other heinous crime. It’s always the same predictable routine: instead of actually defending themselves or even acting surprised, they just stare blankly and hit you with that classic, "I don't know what you're talking about." It’s like there's some unwritten rule in Hollywood that if you're a criminal being confronted with actual proof, your only possible response is this one specific line of dialogue. 😠

Django said:some guy has to hack into the mainframe of some ultra-secure, top-tier agency of unimaginable importance,
he’s got a gun to his head, a woman is performing oral on him, and he’s got sixty seconds to pull it off... of course he succeeds—because in those movies, the protagonists are always the best in the world, the absolute elite, and obviously the fastest.

if he hadn't succeeded, there wouldn't be much of a story worth telling, 😉

Hmm, given the specific scenario Django is describing, that doesn't actually strike me as a bad turn of events.😬
