I must admit that I tend toward a certain level of subjectivity when evaluating superhero cinema—or comic book adaptations, for that matter—primarily because there is a predictable baseline of quality one can anticipate, and, in a more sentimental sense, they serve as a nostalgic gateway back to my own childhood.

However, following the undeniable success of the initial installments, and after such prolonged anticipation, the Blade Trilogy proved to be a profound disappointment.

The film unfolded as a sort of self-parody that failed entirely to honor the established tone of the series. While the various gadgets associated with Blade's arsenal are acceptable enough, that overly aggressive, hyper-speed knife is quite frankly the height of idiocy. This isn't a James Bond film. Furthermore, the concept of a "trinity"—comprised of Blade, Abigail, and Hannibal King—is utterly nonsensical.

As for the storyline, it isn't merely thin; it is practically transparent. While the characters possess some inherent interest, there are simply too many of them, and they suffer from insufficient characterization, as do their interpersonal dynamics.

Snipes appears to have performed his role merely to collect a paycheck, attempting to project an aura of coolness through rather cheap, forced dialogue.

Jessica Biel is certainly attractive, yet it is painfully evident that she is merely executing memorized movements, repeating choreography like a parrot. They certainly could have utilized her presence more effectively.

Parker Posey - Seinfeld's portrayal of the vampire was, in my estimation, the weakest element of the entire production.
👎 If I were to be a screenwriter, I would have had her killed off before the film even reached its midpoint.

Kris Kristofferson provides a solid performance as Whistler, though I find myself questioning whether his death was truly necessary—again. 😁

Dominic Purcell bears a striking resemblance to a character from those old Marty Mystere comics. He folds far too quickly. It is quite frustrating; he is presented as the progenitor, The One, a flawless being, the original daywalker, yet he ends up appearing remarkably weak.

And finally, the highlight of the entire experience: Ryan Reynolds. He is the sole reason to endure this film. Cynical, sarcastic, hilarious, and a true force of nature—he is simply phenomenal. 🙏 Once he moves beyond the Van Wilder image, he will undoubtedly achieve great things.

My final assessment, out of 5, is a generous 2+.

Just one quick question—how much screen time does Jessica Biel actually get?

I honestly can't forgive them for that whole thing with the iPod. I've seen nothing but embarrassing commercials lately, just total nonsense like iRobot or TR2:COL

iPod sucks first Blade👎

The first Blade is top-tier, the second is a decent follow-up, but the third? It’s a total disaster.

I think Purcell is largely to blame for how that turned out—he’s got that gym-built look, but he moves too slow, which really drags down the final sword fight. Plus, he’s pretty much a snooze-fest as a villain.

But then again—that’s more on the writers. They made him way too precious. All that stuff about being "The One, the perfect being"—and then there’s that scene where he’s sucking blood from a goth girl in a convenience store... it tries so hard to be wild, violent, and primal, but it feels forced. They basically confused him with Lestat.

Snipes's fights against the "standard vampires" feel like choreographed routines—to be fair, the fights in the second movie were actually more interesting because the power levels felt a bit more balanced.

And that long sequence showing off all the weapons? It probably shouldn't have been in there at all. You can cover all that in two quick scenes, but instead, this final installment ends up feeling like some sort of James Bond wannabe.

The writers really dropped the ball on this one.

You guys can keep hating on the iPod; it just sounds like you can't afford a perfect MP3 player.

I'm about to start this movie, so I'll let you know what I think in two hours (assuming the download finishes in the next 15 mins 😁 ).

Interesting flick. A bit hollow and messy toward the end, but otherwise relatively alright. The ending felt a little weird, though. What was that about?

Come on, let's be real—anyone fighting in a martial arts movie follows a choreography, even someone like Jackie Chan. If they didn't, people would actually end up seriously injured. Plus, a real fight wouldn't be half as entertaining to watch without that level of coordination—it's just the way it is.

As for Jessica, she really put in the work—you can tell she’s clearly put in the hours at the gym, and it shows. She also obviously did her homework with all those training sessions required for the role, ranging from hand-to-hand combat to marksmanship.
By the way—she handled all her own stunts (along with the guys on the crew), except for the ones involving those massive falls and stuff... so yeah. 😛 While the movie is mostly a mess—honestly, a bit of a disaster—it does have its bright spots, and Jessica is definitely one of them.

I actually disagree! I think Blade Trilogy is awesome, though the second one was just okay—they really killed the vibe with that weird Ray-Ban commercial at the end, didn't they? 😂 ..
I still haven't even gotten around to watching the third one yet.

Actually, you don't! 😲

The third installment is a massive departure from the first two... and not in a good way. 😢

What could possibly top the sight of a vampire spinning Blade around by his ankles, only for him to smash his head straight into a foot-thick marble pillar? Poor Blade—he’s fine, obviously, since he’s this legendary superhero daywalker who kicks butt for a living—but that pillar? It snapped like it was made of Styrofoam! I mean, seriously—I get it, he's tough—but those Ray-Bans didn't do a thing to save him from that ridiculousness!!!!1 🙏 🙏 🙏

Seriously! Now I’m going to go out and buy some Ray-Bans immediately, just in case an evil vampire decides to spin me into a structural column; at least I'll know my eyewear will survive the encounter.

It reminds me of those old knife commercials: "THESE KNIVES CAN CUT THROUGH AN AUTOMOBILE TIRE!" I don't know about you guys, but I really wouldn't want to eat dinner at a place where the chef uses his cutlery to slice through things other than food.

I mean, I guess I’m just bowing down to the best player out there... honestly, Blade Trilogy is pretty garbage anyway, so I probably shouldn't even bother commenting. 😛

My absolute favorite part is when they leave them soaking in the ocean for a month—then you just lay out a marble slab, crack open a few cans of Duff, and slice those tomatoes super, super thin. 🙏 🙏 🙏 I mean, seriously, what more could you need in a knife set? You could probably fudge some tiles together with a cheese knife and perform an autopsy on an alien. And if there aren't any aliens lying around, a cow will do just fine. If it's good enough for aliens, surely it's good enough for you with those Shogun knives, right?

It would be almost too good to be true if buying a full set meant getting free collector's editions of "Karate Kid" and "American Ninja" on VHS. It doesn't get any better than that—unless, of course, they throw in some Leslie Eldridge ninja novels. 🙏 🙏

Look, the movie is just meh. It’s not like it’s an absolute disaster or anything, but you’ll forget it exists the second you walk out of the theater.

Plus, Snipes was totally underwhelming, man. He acts like his paycheck was enough to buy a small island in the Caribbean or something.

And then there's Jessica—she’s just so... Godless. Between those bangs and that naive look, she’s giving off major Felicity vibes. She spent half the movie looking washed out, even when she was supposed to be wielding guns.😁 I mean, why couldn't they cast someone with an actual ounce of personality? Someone like Michelle Rodriguez, for instance, instead of this total wet blanket. Though, I guess I'll give her credit for having toned arms; at least she looks somewhat convincing doing the action stuff.

Then you've got the main vampire—man, he looked more like David Beckham than a monster. They styled him way too well, all high-end Tom Ford style, to the point where I couldn't even focus on the acting. Hehe.

But honestly, what really kills me is the dialogue. It's so cliché it feels like it was written for toddlers. Seriously, I have to wonder if they actually write scripts for these American action trash flicks, or if there's just one single template floating around being reused over and over again?😁 Just ridiculous.

Oh, yeah—the soundtrack was actually pretty good.👍

Female envy. 😎

Now, if we were discussing some actress, I would certainly disagree. Except perhaps within the specific framework of Avery’s Laws of Attraction.

However, I find myself wondering—do you happen to have any images in 1024x768 resolution available? 😁

Even if she's an actress, I'm not buying it.

Maybe the girl was trying to say that while Jessica might have the curves, she lacks the charisma for a role like this.

I see a similar issue in Resident Evil: Milla Jovovich is undeniably gorgeous and spends the whole movie jumping around in some skimpy outfit, but when she—looking more like a slender runway model—starts hacking away at zombies, it doesn't look cool; it actually looks pretty ridiculous.

However, when Michelle Rodriguez starts laying down suppressive fire on the zombies, that’s easily the best part of that entire pathetic movie. Michelle is so hot in RE that Milla can't even compete. And with rodrigezik, you barely even see a cleavage in the whole film.
Anyway, do you have any 1024x768 versions? 😁

Google is your friend.

Also: out Now is a fantastic site for movie stills, and I obviously can't be spamming that link all over the forum.😬
