Old news, isn't it? Hmmm...
Mirko Cro Cop, KO. Honestly, I’m thinking Mark Coleman might actually manage to take him down because his takedown game is just top-tier, and he’s an incredible wrestler, but man, he could burn out fast. Let's face it—the guy's getting up there in years, and even though he can be dangerous, I just don't see it happening... Mirko will find his opening and land that left kick.

Has Mirko Cro Cop faced him before, or is this their first encounter?...

He didn't actually square off against him, but he did go rounds with Tim Randleman. Besides, Mark Coleman is his coach, his sparring partner, his mentor—basically his whole support system—so this is going to be a wild ride. This fight actually has some real meat on its bones. First, he takes a loss from one of his own students, then he gets his revenge, and now he’s coming for San Francisco. hehehee

Besides, Mark Coleman is his coach, his sparring partner, and basically his surrogate father—he’s everything to him. This fight has a great narrative: first, he loses to one of his own students, then he gets his revenge, and now he’s coming for San Francisco. Quite the arc.

And what happens if San Francisco decides to settle the score for his student's loss? 🤔

Good grief, what a mess. Unknown won't do it, but if you ask me, I think Mirko Cro Cop is going to pull it off. Though, honestly? The guy is getting way too old for this.

Fedora actually had some serious struggles against him, and Mark Coleman didn't look particularly intimidated either.

I’m just hoping things turn out alright because the guy has an insane amount of experience under his belt, plus he’s a former UFC champion.

But regardless, I’m calling it now: Mirko Cro Cop takes it...

I’m hoping things go smoothly; the guy brings plenty of experience to the table, especially being a former UFC champion.

That said, I still think Mirko Cro Cop pulls it off...

At this point, it all comes down to how much work Mirko has put into his ground game. Sure, there's visible improvement, but is it enough? That remains to be seen.

wanderingridge said:I'm sure it works. Werdum didn't show up just for fun. Mirko Cro Cop just needs to tighten up his ground defense. Throw a few strikes here and there and he'll be fine. 😁

Here's the catch, though—you can't defend if you don't know what's hitting you. He really needs to work on those strikes and some submission defense. 🙂

Mirko Cro Cop is going to knock him out cold!

So, does anyone actually know the exact date the fight is happening?

You're spot on there.

To me, those two just feel... exactly the same.

It wasn't really a massacre; rather, Branko was disqualified because he kept landing elbow strikes to the temple right after Randy Kerr secured the clinch. He did this three separate times, despite having already been warned by the ref...
I honestly suspect they weren't even following standard UFC rules at that moment, and it certainly wasn't inside an Octagon.

If anyone is watching—or plans on revisiting the footage—do yourselves a favor and pay close attention to how Branko was actually moving out there.

Since we are talking about goodbyes, I wonder, will there perhaps be some broadcast available on our local US networks?

I have a nagging feeling it’ll play out just like it always has..... 🙄 ..... no broadcast at all.
