Honestly, Jasenka Hojura is the biggest thief and absolute trash. He's a notorious hack and anti-intellectual. He stole whenever he had the chance—back in the 90s, he even pretended to be this folk musician type. Total garbage.
Everyone knew he was stealing because Houra just lives for music. He'd hear two or three bands and just strip them clean.
That song he wrote for his mom? It isn't just a blatant plagiarism, it's also complete crap.
And the fact that a lot of people dig them isn't a coincidence. Around here, people love Tompston, Ceca, Joks, and Škoro. So why wouldn't they like Hojur? He's playing in that same league.

In my opinion, Merlin is easily the most repulsive plagiarist out there. Honestly, sometimes I feel a sense of secondhand embarrassment just being from the same city as such trash.

Now, Brega is also a fraud, sure, but I can't deny he actually knows how to play his instrument—even if his music isn't my style. As for Fino Perlin? He’s absolutely nothing.

A few years back, when UB 40 played a show in Washington, D.C., they were absolutely floored. They walked out there expecting the usual, but instead, the crowd went wild for this one track of theirs—it wasn't even their biggest hit, if I recall correctly (I can't even remember the original title off the top of my head)—and everyone was singing along in some strange language.😁
The song was actually "Mjesecina" by Merlin, who basically "borrowed" the melody from them without ever getting a signature on a contract.
Honestly, he got lucky they weren't in the mood to sue him into oblivion.
