Exactly... I can be patriotic on a forum, but that doesn't mean these guys aren't thieves. It's just like how Bob Dylan might be a controversial figure, but that doesn't mean he's a thief when it comes to music...

Look, if the liner notes explicitly credit the original songwriters... then you've got absolutely nothing to complain about.

As for Mana, the guy basically just copies himself at this point. *La Proxima Estación*? It’s all the same formula... different lyrics over the exact same backing tracks. I can't speak for Burritos, but I know for a fact that Dina Merlin "borrowed" heavily from that one Jackson track—I can't recall the title offhand. Blue Orchestra leaned on Primal Scream, and Daniel's Jewel was nothing more than a cover... and so on and so forth.

It’s just part of the daily grind in the music industry. Look at sampling; if we didn't have that, sixty percent of the hits from the 90s and the turn of the millennium wouldn't even exist.

My point was that everything today feels like a carbon copy—though some artists actually try to wrap it up so it doesn't sound identical on first listen. Others? Not even trying.
