Peckinpah - Convoy (Sam Peckinpah)

Does anyone have a recommendation for a movie about a convoy of truckers traveling across the states to stage a protest? Is it actually any good?

Peckinpah - Convoy (1978). Kris Kristofferson, Ali MacGraw... It’s definitely not the peak of Sam Peckinpah's filmography, but it isn't half bad either.

It’s been a long time since I last sat down with it, but it left a solid impression on me. If my memory serves, it’s definitely worth your time.

Look, even though this flick is a blast, it’s easily one of the weakest bloody Sam
movies out there. Honestly? The only thing I'd rank lower is Killer Elite.

This one is easily one of my favorites from Sam Peckinpah—honestly, it blows Alfred Garcia out of the water, and I’d even argue it beats out Pat & Billy or bijeg. It was a staple of my childhood, but even years later, after realizing the film had developed such a bad reputation, I went back to give it another look... and yeah, it still holds up beautifully. It's usually the first thing that comes to mind whenever I'm thinking about an underrated gem...

Since I was just a kid, I’ve watched it dozens of times... I practically had the dialogue memorized by heart...

It feels as though sam Peckinpah was perhaps taking a bit of a "breather" while directing this particular film.
Personally, I found the soundtrack to be absolutely superb.
