The 2004 version of The Punisher just hit the shelves for $39.90... but seriously, don't bother picking this up unless you already own it. This is the "extended cut" supposed to run 133 minutes, which is about 17 minutes longer than the original 119-minute theatrical cut... which is fine by me. It's cool they released a longer version, but there's a catch. The back of the DVD case claims it comes loaded with extra features like:

So, they promise those extra 17 minutes, some animated fight sequences from Kuwait meant for the intro, a gallery of Marvel's The Punisher comics (though I bet it's just covers, not full issues), and a making-of documentary. But here's the kicker: when I popped the disc into my player, none of that stuff was actually on there. The only extras included are three trailers that aren't even mentioned on the cover... check out the photos of the back cover and the main menu for proof...



Bottom line... if you just want to watch the extended version of the movie, you're better off just renting it on digital rather than wasting money on this half-baked release.☕🙂

Thanks for the heads-up. I was actually planning on picking that up since you mentioned the extended cut was superior. But, honestly, once that ice cream torture scene flashed through my mind, I was out. 😁 🤣

Thomas Jane brings The Punisher back to life in this phenomenal, brilliant, and just plain mind-blowing 10-minute indie short that premiered at San Diego Comic-Con this year. Honestly, it’s been ages since I actually enjoyed watching something on YouTube this much!
This is exactly how you make a killer movie outside of the typical Hollywood system.
That's how it's done—period. That's the way it should be!
