It’s been ten years since Kurt Cobain, the guy who fronted Nirvana, decided to end it all.

Since nobody seems to be talking about it, I figured I’d drop a little reminder of one of the most impactful musicians from the last decade. Look, I wouldn't call myself a die-hard superfan or anything... but I still respect the hell out of him. 🙏

No, you misunderstood me. I loved Kurt back in my early teen years—he’s still dear to me. But every year, this thread starts up again with all that pretentiousness and mourning... If I had to bet, I'd say half the people 🙂posting here in real life haven't shed a single tear. Two hands!

And every year, there are always a few characters with the that bitch killed him, I know it was her. Such a slut routine. Great. He was killed by "so what can you do"🙄

Honestly, I think he just got hit by one massive, colorful candy drop—kind of like a giant version of a Jolly Rancher. They just covered it up. It’s the exact same thing they did with Elvis.

Maria Morris5 loved Kurt. She even bought that massive biography and everything... she still loves Nirvana, but she doesn't get why everyone is mourning him so much. He chose to kill himself. That was his call. It isn't a tragedy; when someone decides to kill themselves, they did it on purpose, and that's what works best for them.

It’s just... I mean, it isn't necessarily that Kurt Cobain doesn't deserve a yearly topic...
I suppose most young people are essentially introduced to the wider world of music through Nirvana (international acts, that is, if we aren't talking about Britney...)
I don't think there is anyone out there who wasn't, even if only for a little while, somewhat "infected" by Nirvana... and I guess Kurt left behind much more than just a few remains in the ground...

p.s. Oh, okay, now that I see there's actually another thread about Kurt, I was thinking: one a year is deserved... but maybe two? 🤔

Look, if you actually want to honor him, you should probably say Rest in Peace. The way you wrote it sounds totally brutal—like, "rest in shards" or something. Shards of what? Just ash?
