Detox diets: Do they actually work?

my wife said:I just saw this segment on TV about spring detoxing to flush out toxins. They were showing some overseas company—maybe European?—selling these syrups or pills for "detoxification." It’s all plant-based, obviously, but I can't remember the name. You could probably ask at a local health food store or something, they usually carry stuff like that.😉

I wouldn't dream of getting into a heated debate about sweat color; I simply reported what the woman described in her book.
My take is that the main point was just that the sheet ends up stained with sweat and loaded with toxins, so you really ought to wash it before you use it again.

My mom tried one of those detox syrups a while back—I think it was called Tony Danza. Everything about it is supposedly all-natural and healthy, but apparently, you can't touch it if you have any kidney issues. Honestly, I'm not even entirely sure what other conditions it might clash with.🙄
