No matter what shoes I wear, my feet just end up covered in blisters—I think my old Converse did me dirty before, but I’ve seriously never had it this bad... I can't even put on socks right now. My feet are all swollen and puffy all day long. I'm dusting them with Gold Bond, but man, I really need this to clear up fast. Anyone got any tips? Also, how do I soften up the heels on these shoes?

Ugh, I just have zero luck with my feet... plus that growth I had surgery on back in September is acting up again 😢

If they’re just dry, grab some standard medical ointment—the pink tube kind—and slather it on. I mean, really go overboard with it, leave it on overnight, then just wipe off the excess in the morning.

I once had a pair of boots that were killing me, specifically right at the heel. I took them to my old neighbor—he’s got a bit of a knack for this stuff—and he used a small hammer to gently beat them into shape. Worked like a charm.

So, what did you have surgery for? A bunion?

She mentioned she just had surgery on her breast.

What on earth is a "print"? Is that some kind of local slang or what? I’ve honestly never heard that term used like that in my life.

The pressure has permanently altered the tissue structure.

Yeah—and honestly, the Latin term makes it sound almost... viral? Like it's something that keeps coming back because it's infectious... right? 😢

Thanks. My mom dealt with the exact same thing—bunions—from wearing tight shoes all day long. Between the constant walking and her feet swelling up, she ended up with some pretty nasty inflammation.

That’s why I’m linking the corn to the bunion issue. They tend to keep coming back even after surgery.

I noticed you mentioned Gehwol online—they make those foam inserts to prevent corns, but you have to be careful because they can make your shoes feel a bit too snug.

They offer both foam and silicone options; the silicone ones cost a little more, but they mold to your toe much better. Maybe something like that would help?

It’s highly likely the swelling and pressure triggered some bursitis, but the hallux valgus itself was probably pre-existing. That isn't something you develop overnight; it's a structural foot deformity.

over on thread about Louise Hay, she says this:

1. LIVER
2. Resistance. A lack of emotional boundaries.
3. I flow effortlessly through life's river with every experience I encounter. Everything is okay.

so, yeah... since placidjackal9 is already out here handing out life lessons—drawing from her supposedly massive well of wisdom or whatever—it’s just wild to me how she completely missed this part while swearing by that whole philosophy... 😁

Tried everything—nothing works. I even used those callus removers, nothing... surgery? Nothing...
Anyway, it's right on my sole, dead center, about an inch under my toes...
Now I'm debating if I should try peroxide on the blisters... honestly, I'm terrified it's gonna sting like crazy (total killer, I know 😳)

Apparently, there’s some kind of cream you apply under a thin, elastic wrap. Honestly, those setups seem pricey, and they usually only suggest them for extreme conditions—think heavy-duty hiking or intense sports.

I saw someone using it once while out on a trail. I haven't seen an elastic bandage like that anywhere else, let alone found a place to buy one. For all I know, it might not even have been a bandage. It was definitely something stretchy, though; maybe some kind of silicone sealant tape 😁. As for the ointment... it had this distinct scent, like pine or some other evergreen smell.

Has anyone actually tried this stuff? And more importantly, where can you even get it?

And there you have it—case in point after rustymoose54 mentioned how we shouldn't be dragging arguments from one thread over to another. 😎

Quote me where I’m actually giving ADVICE on that thread, otherwise just stop talking.

That brand is pretty well-known over in Germany (alongside Bauerfeind)—I actually used those bandages for my mom after her surgery.

what, you think you've got some kind of exclusive permit to dump your garbage all over this forum?

redgardener5, honestly, just give those blisters some time to heal.
And if you’re dealing with leather shoes that feel like bricks because they're too tight, just take them to a local cobbler to get them stretched out and softened up.

If you want to stop the pain before it starts, my absolute go-to is those micropore tapes—you know, the white rolls usually found in that blue plastic packaging at the drugstore. Just slap one layer on the spots where you always get rubbed raw, and I promise you won't even have a chance to develop a blister.

p.s. You should apply it directly to healthy skin, but if you've already managed to mess up your foot, throw a little bit of sterile gauze over the spot first, then put the tape on top of that.

so now I’m just sitting here with my foot propped up—all wrapped up too... ugh, I absolutely hate getting shots in my foot 😢 the doctor had to cut it out and cauterize the wound, so fingers crossed he actually got it all this time... diagnosis: common warts... gross 😢

looks like you've got it a bit worse than I do
but I’ve actually noticed that if I go overboard with moisturizing my legs—you know, using lotions right after a shower and all that—I end up getting blisters way more often.
I guess it’s because the skin gets too soft and sensitive, so basically any shoe I wear ends up leaving bruises...

it's probably because my skin gets too soft and sensitive—every single pair of shoes leaves a bruise, seriously.

ugh, man... my feet are basically a total disaster zone. Blisters, calluses, bunions... it's just endless.

Ugh, here we go again—back to the doctor tomorrow after a year and a half. The damn thing is still huge, like 4cm. Yay me! I get to look forward to another month of bleeding, bandages, and medical tape... just great.

Has anyone else picked up anything new lately regarding this stuff?
