Are some types of leukemia temporary, and how can you prevent it?

I’ve been a bit of a hypochondriac for quite some time now, but I am genuinely curious about whether certain types of cancer can be transmissible. Lately, I’ve been in very close contact with someone battling leukemia, and I find myself starting to spiral into a bit of a panic...
Does anyone here actually know anything about this?

I find myself wondering if this transition period might be somewhat misguided.

If you don't have anything intelligent to contribute, there is absolutely no need to say anything at all. I stated quite clearly that I have zero knowledge on the subject and have never even encountered it before... I simply don't understand why anyone would find it so irrational to ask a question.

Honestly, your question isn't nearly as silly or pointless as some people are making it out to be. For instance, there’s the well-known human T-cell lymphoma/leukemia virus.

I'm curious about how these viruses actually spread? Specifically, the ones linked to lymphomas.

HLTV - Blood, sexual contact, maybe even other ways... I don't know exactly, just do a quick Google search.

EBV - spread through saliva.

If I were in your shoes, I’d definitely be keeping my distance from that individual dealing with leukemia... just to be safe. 😁
