Does anyone know a private lab where I can get bloodwork done on short notice?
I already gave the one over on Dezelicev a call, but I’m thinking about checking out a few other places too—just to see how their prices stack up.

I can't really give you a hand with that, but I'm positive there are at least two—probably more, actually—right here in New York City. You might want to check the Saturday papers; they usually have plenty of those ads for private practices listed in there.

They’ve got them, and they'll send them straight to your house. They usually just email them over or send a fax.

I have the phone numbers here at home. If you're not in a huge rush, hang tight until tonight and I'll send them your way.

I swung by Dezelicev today—those 5 or 6 tests they run will set you back about $173. You get the results sent to your email or fax by 2 PM the same day, though you can always just swing by and grab them in person if you prefer. The only catch is the blood type test; you have to wait an extra day for that one, and honestly, it’s pretty pricey—around $83.
In case anyone's looking for info: www.breyerlabs.com

thanks Tanya, but could you actually write down the exact number for those home delivery ones just to be safe?

Here are those lab numbers (I'm pretty sure this is the one over on Dezeliceva):
- 3776-870
- 3775-092

They actually send out a mobile nurse to your house to draw your blood for whatever tests you need. I have the nurses' cell numbers too, but they probably don't work anymore since they're old 099 numbers.
Anyway, those visiting nurses are Jason (099 413358) and Mary (099 454597).

If you need anything from the Breyer lab, I cannot recommend them enough! 🙂 👍 👍

thanks Tanya, I checked the number and yeah, those are the folks over on Dezelicev.
They actually faxed me the results just three hours after my blood work was done.

Has anyone here ever used that private lab over in Brooklyn (near the Octagon) for blood work? I’m curious to hear what the vibe is like there. So far, my experiences at Breyer have been pretty decent, but since I’m living in Brooklyn, this place would be way more convenient for me.

That Brooklyn location might be a bit smaller than Breyer, but it isn't any worse. You show up, get your blood drawn, and you're done. The only real downside is that you actually have to go back in person to pick up your results; they don't email them to you like they do at Breyer.

They will send them via fax, though.

Awesome. Thanks for all the info. They’re actually super close to my place, so I can just swing by on foot to pick up the results. My main priorities are making sure the lab is legit, they act like professionals, and—most importantly—that I get the results the same day. Thanks again! 🙂

I was actually just about to start a thread regarding the Brooklyn facility—though I didn't want to drop the actual name just so people wouldn't think I was running some kind of advertisement 😳 )

I'm mostly interested in the pricing—I'm assuming it fluctuates depending on what specific tests you're looking for 😁 but if someone could give me at least a ballpark figure... thanks 🙂
