Knock Knock (2015) - Eli Roth's Knock Knock

I caught that movie on CBS last night, and honestly, it was a total mess. It felt less like a cinematic experience and more like a direct assault on my intelligence. The biggest issue for me was the complete lack of motivation behind the two girls' actions. Trying to frame the entire story solely through the lens of sin and retribution for the protagonist just doesn't hold water. To be blunt, it feels like a pale imitation of "Funny Games," and it even tries to borrow some of the dark energy from "Hard Candy." I’m left wondering what the director was actually trying to achieve here. I have to agree with the sentiment that this is probably one of Keanu Reeves' weakest performances, and the rest of the cast didn't exactly shine either.

Some people claim this whole movie was just an excuse to get some shots of a naked Anne Hathaway. Honestly, Keanu Reeves is pretty hopeless here—it’s like he physically can't act like he actually gives a damn about anything. The plot and the dialogue? Total nonsense. I guess the only decent part is when the girls first start messing with Keanu Reeves. It felt real, you know? Like how some women might push buttons if a guy is being way too polite—just trying to provoke a reaction. Though, obviously, nobody does that just to bait him into hitting them so they can sue for assault.

Am I losing my mind, or did CBS really broadcast a scene last night featuring three people showering together? He’s there bringing them their clothes while they're all under the water... and then the very next shot is just him waking up the following morning? 🤦

I watched that movie on CBS just to see Anne Hathaway's curves, and can you believe they censored the best shower scene?

The movie was mindless, but it served its purpose by launching her career. Even though she started out in obscure indie films, this project pushed her straight into Hollywood stardom, and now she's playing a Bond girl.
