I spoke tonight with a buddy from my service days who’s currently stationed at the radar installations near Fort Meade. He shared just a fragment of what's happening, though I have to be incredibly careful because the rest falls under strict military classification. I can't even recount this small piece of information, otherwise, our commanding officer would have us deployed to the other side of the globe in an instant. Just say that all strategic options remain on the table, while people continue to spiral into a state of agitation as the underlying aggression within them continues to surge.🍿

Serious things are going down on the offside. People are tearing apart the establishment, leaking top-secret intel, and dropping deep-dive analyses everywhere ☕

I still find myself stunned by just how limited the Russian Air Force truly is...

If that major nuclear plant near the Enerhodar region falls, it opens a direct path for Russian forces to besiege Zaporizhzhia, and even Dnipro wouldn't be far from the line of fire. It’s curious, isn't it? Hardly anyone seems to be discussing the implications of that. Down south, things aren't looking good at all. Mariupol could end up completely cut off, trapped under siege within occupied territory, likely facing constant shelling until they finally surrender.

It looks like they're also attempting to encircle Mykolaiv from multiple sides, isolating it to facilitate a push toward Odessa.

If this were Russia, citizens would have been out in the streets protesting against the occupation for days already. This is a city located in the Southeast.

According to the latest reports, Russian forces targeting the military units stationed near the nuclear plant have actually struck the facility itself. It looks like this just broke, and everyone is practically begging for the strikes to stop, fearing the catastrophic fallout if another missile happens to hit the reactor site.

We're talking about one of the largest nuclear power plants in all of Europe.

Here is a tweet from the American Secretary of State regarding the situation:

What kind of fool would actually guarantee a nuclear plant...🤦

I’m still holding out hope that this turns out to be nothing more than fake news. Honestly, I find it hard to wrap my head around the idea that anyone could be foolish enough to actually go through with something like that.

I just rewound a bit and noticed that the right side didn't look quite right during the stream about three and a half hours ago; it looks like that specific area took the brunt of it. As for what actually happened inside the nuclear plant itself, we can only speculate at this point.

The eastern sector took a direct hit, and you could actually see bursts of gunfire right in front of the power plant. Fighting for control of the facility is still underway. I just hope this reaches the American command structure and they take action...

I can only hope that some Alexander doesn't go around tweeting "not good, not terrible" about this situation.

I honestly can't say for certain what their endgame is here. From the perspective of the Kremlin, though—and this is just my take—it’s possible they might actually be setting their sights on that nuclear facility.

Wouldn't it have been much more effective to just launch simultaneous paratrooper drops on all four nuclear sites right from the start? Just go in, secure them through direct engagement, and get it over with. If they take control, they hold it. It’s better than any alternative that could end up causing a massive disaster.

Gunfire erupting near the largest nuclear facility—those structures up on the roof look like "shields," yet these idiots are just firing right at them
I honestly don't even know what to say about this
I suppose both sides actually know where they're allowed to shoot—this whole thing feels like nothing more than a staged production for the nightly news
It looks like the Russians have seized control of the plant
Things won't be resolved in fourteen days, but step by step, the front line is inching toward the Mississippi River

I hesitated to comment because there was such widespread euphoria—and honestly, my heart just went out to the people and my colleagues back at the office.
Watching Zelensky speak before a half-full European Parliament, surrounded by those waving Ukrainian flags, actually managed to stir some emotion in a few people.
To me, the whole scene felt like when you’re talking to a critically ill child while trying to raise money for their medical treatments in the States—you get caught up in the moment, you cry, you run the fundraiser, but deep down, you know the odds of recovery are slim, if not impossible.
I suspect we’ll all wipe away our tears eventually and just move on.
The simple truth is that Putin won't stop; he can't afford to retreat now without looking weak.
The only real glimmer of hope lies with the Ukrainian fighters—how much longer they can hold out—and whether the Russian people can continue to endure Putin's rule. I know protesting in Russia is incredibly dangerous, but they'll have to push harder; surely there's still some grit left in their DNA.

So, the Americans heading over to fight in Ukraine are getting a sweet little gift from the President: total immunity from prosecution. 👍

I’m telling you, those crazies actually went ahead and shelled the nuclear plant. 🙏 🤦
