Yeah, Feen made a solid point there. That gap between the Dollar and the Euro just doesn't make sense to me—I've never noticed anything like it before, whether I'm looking at Forex or trading stocks and crypto. It’s usually always within like 2-3%...

Just gave that "Offside knowledge" quiz a shot. 😁

I don't have any more RT on Max TV
When is HRT finally going to stop airing that Russian-German version of Catherine the Great?
They should just air the English version of those five episodes about Catherine instead.

It seems his real curiosity lies in why the spread on one currency pair ends up being wider than another.

I haven't really dug into it myself, but my guess? Since the Dollar is such a safe haven, you just see much higher trading volumes on that pair.

Ukrainian tennis player Sergej Stahovski just leaked his private messages with Novak Djokovic.

It’s pretty wild how Djokovic was the only one to actually reach out and offer any kind of help—meanwhile, apparently Federer and Nadal wouldn't even pick up the phone...

It looks like Ukraine might be softening their stance in the negotiations
I just hope they don't kill him—you know, for being seen as a traitor.

That’s certainly a possibility. I never quite wrapped my head around the mechanics of it, but most people using brokerage platforms tend to deposit their funds in Euros, perform a quick conversion, and then pick up shares on the NYSE, Nasdaq, or wherever they are listed under a specific ticker.

Whenever I'm trading on the Frankfurt exchange and someone catches a glimpse of my portfolio, they always ask me which tickers I've been eyeing😁. Honestly, I just buy what fits my current holdings in Euros because I can't be bothered with the hassle of converting everything into Dollars every single time

They’ll cave when they have to. The real question is how much longer this can be dragged out. They aren't going to see any Western aid unless it's strictly humanitarian. The surrounding cities are a mess, airports are completely trashed, and the power, water, and heating are all cut off. Honestly, I think Kyiv is the only place still holding onto electricity, but even they could lose it in a heartbeat if the Russians decide to pull the plug.

It's a trapped situation. They're going to end up signing a surrender eventually. Food is running low, and people aren't going to sit around and starve. They can't even leave the cities—even if they're granted an evacuation, they'll just get bombed again.

If the Russians don't get what's happening here, then they're honestly beyond help. What, are they just like those Mexicans—where everyone’s against us and nobody actually gives a damn? Dammit, we've all been there at some point, right? That moment on a personal level where you think, "Wait, if everyone else is on one side and I'm standing alone, maybe *I'm* the actual problem." Will they ever hit that realization? Honestly, I'm pretty skeptical...

Only a few months ago, the sentiment shared in this forum was that we were living in an era of unprecedented peace, suggesting there was absolutely no possibility of war breaking out in Europe—even though even a complete novice could clearly see the storm clouds gathering on the horizon.

Now, we find ourselves facing the reality of the situation, and there is simply no way this chaos is going to end anytime soon.

There is no longer any room for debate regarding whether a conflict between Russia and NATO will occur; the only lingering question is whether someone will be desperate or irrational enough to reach for nuclear weapons.

It looks like Putin bit the bait like a naive little kid—and honestly, you have to hand it to the Americans, they’re practically rubbing their hands together in anticipation. He’s essentially setting himself up for his own downfall at this point.
He’ll probably just let him exhaust himself fighting in Ukraine—besides, Biden already gave him his word last year that the US wouldn't get involved.

It feels like Putin is acting like a former intelligence officer who lacks any actual combat experience—he’s being reckless, and honestly, it looks amateurish. He’s essentially taken everything he spent twenty years building and handed it over to the Russian military, only to watch them fail to achieve any of his objectives in the timeframe he expected.
Kyiv is in for a hell of a ride.

They'll all be rushing back the second the situation in Ukraine wraps up. This whole thing is just a massive PR stunt.

I remain deeply skeptical about the defense efforts, despite how much urban warfare typically favors the defenders. It isn't even a matter of human willpower; it’s purely a question of technical capacity. A friend was telling me last night that they have hauled in massive amounts of hardware. That is precisely why they are acting with such nonchalance toward their equipment. He believes there is absolutely no way the Ukrainians can afford to lose all of this, regardless of how much resistance they've shown so far.

Switching gears to some more important topics, has anyone actually caught up with Vlatkica on that celebrity dance show, or are we all still just obsessing over what’s happening in Ukraine? ☕

Vlatkica is alright. Just like everything else she does, she’s got zero talent when it comes to dancing, but she isn't ready for the retirement home just yet. She's still a total MILF.

I ran into Vlatko a few times over the years at this little barbershop in Cavtat, right there in the hotel... back before she decided to pack up and move away from the States🙂

It was either we were vacationing during the same stretch of summer, or maybe she was heading to some award ceremony or something... I can't quite recall the specifics anymore...

The only one I know is that German film about Catherine from '83...
