Even if he were hanging around San Francisco, he'd probably just be busy licking the pavement. Honestly, it’s better for everyone if he stays where he is; it’s just common sense at this point.

I mean, how does someone find Kuršumlija closer than the Gulf Coast? Good grief. We really do have all sorts of people in this world.

Thanks, Daddy Scholz—and thanks, Mommy Angela. 👍

Exactly! A warm welcome above all else.

Šarić doesn't live in San Francisco anymore. Last I heard, he was in Washington, D.C., around the end of summer last year.

Hey Amater, turn off the heat so they can actually freeze outside—gotta teach those offside types a lesson!

Just imagine if he actually lived in Bijesov's neighborhood... what a nightmare.

I can see him hanging from a flagpole; I guess I’m just a bullfighter at heart.🙂

I'm just sitting here waiting for Vekjo to jump back in and explain once again why the current sanctions are essentially nothing. I’ve told him this before: there is absolutely no chance they will ever hit where it actually hurts or force any real concessions, because European nations are far too dependent on Russian energy. It is pure hypocrisy and double standards in politics, plain and simple.

How is it even hypocritical if you openly admit you're dependent on that gas? At least right now, until some other alternative is found. Even if it's pricier or more complicated, there's nothing wrong with being honest about it.

What, are they supposed to just wreck their own economies just to prove to idiot Putin that we don't need his gas?
The world doesn't work like that, for Christ's sake. 🤣

Now you'll probably argue that because they became dependent on Russian gas, we should just go back to the dark ages because certain governments took that risk at one point in time.
That risk seemed fine once, but it sure as hell isn't anymore. The world shifts, people change, nations change—what works today doesn't mean it works tomorrow.

Stop looking at everything through such a narrow lens, trying to judge the whole world based solely on what's happening "right now."

It was never okay to be dependent on Russia. Period. You're talking about an aggressive, undemocratic superpower that you have absolutely zero leverage over. Now, relying on Norway or Canada? Sure, you can do that, because they’re decent Western nations. Even the Saudis—you can lean on them because one phone call from the White House reminds them exactly who's running the show. But China? That's where the real nightmare begins. They're just like Russia, only x100 times worse. Honestly, we basically brought this on ourselves. We tripped and fell, and then we finished the job.

Schroeder needs to go stand in front of the Brandenburg Gate. And Merkel should be right there next to him.☕

There are far too many reasons why these hypocritical double-dealers are failing us:

- They flirted with Ukraine while simultaneously pressuring them to pivot toward the West and abandon their ties to Russia.

- Imposing sanctions just for the sake of having them is utterly pointless unless you actually target the areas that cause them the most pain. Beyond that, we are essentially telling brave Ukrainians to just hold on while their country is turned into a wasteland, all while we continue to fuel Putin's war machine.

- What is needed is concrete military assistance, not empty applause and shipments of 5,000 helmets. If they are going to keep buying Russian gas, then they should at least have the decency to arm the Ukrainians properly.

The whole damn world depends on China. What are we even talking about here? 🤣

Maybe we can all join them up there at the gallows next to Merkel and Merkelica—you, me, and the rest of Western civilization. Technology got sold out just so people could chase a quick buck and grab cheaper products.
And yeah, politicians aren't any more to blame than us consumers—we've known this for years and we still don't care.
That's why it's all just empty talk and finger-pointing instead of actually looking in the mirror.

Quick news:
  • Denmark decided to hike their military budget and they're holding a referendum about returning to the Common Security and Defence Policy from the EU.
  • Canada allowed NATO forces to deploy on its territory.

Germany is still getting 40% of its gas needs from Russia. They just agreed to start building an LNG terminal, but that’s going to take forever to actually get running. If Germany cut off Russian gas right now, they'd be without power in three weeks. It's not like Putin doesn't have a few tricks up his sleeve. The mistake happened way earlier—nobody really believed Putin would actually invade, and everyone thought there was plenty of time for an energy transition. Take Germany, for example; they produce more than enough wind power, to the point where they actually have to shut it down sometimes so they don't fry the power lines. And that's exactly the problem with the infrastructure—they can't even move all that power from the north down to the industrial south without blowing out a grid that isn't built for that kind of load. Sure, they should fix it, but everyone figured they had time.

For Ukraine, the key is just holding out as long as possible so the sanctions can eventually hit harder.

Unbelievable... they actually made the call... so the GOP decided they could just rebuild the entire Banovina in a single year! 🙏

Vekjo is the absolute perfect voter 🙏

For the LNG terminal
Construction permits
Feasibility studies
State, county, and municipal permits
Maybe three years or so--if everything goes smoothly

Still haven't heard a single word from you about what actually needs to be done, you just sit there criticizing. 🙂

Well, my friend, it’s up to the old man himself to decide if there's going to be peace in the world or not! 🙂

Vekjo this, Vekjo that—your entire body of work basically boils down to spitting on one person or another and finding all your worldly joy in criticizing just for the sake of being a critic. Whether it’s about the Anteater, Pike, Barcelona, politics, the leftists, Hajduk, or the black and red devils... whatever. As long as you can spit on someone, that's clearly your only talent... 🤣
