One could argue things were more stable in Eastern Europe back then; what people seem to despise now might just be Western propaganda.

When you see everyone on this forum whining about NATO sirens, there are really only two possibilities: either they're on the Russian payroll or they're Mexicans.

Me personally—and I’m pretty sure most people here agree—I don't give a damn where the Mexicans go. If they don't want in with the EU, fine, go enjoy the glorious Russian Federation. See ya, wouldn't want to be ya. The same goes for Belarus, and honestly, even the Ukrainians if that's what they decided. It's always the same old story: some "innocent" creature or the "survival of the state" is being threatened. Same old, same old.

To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't be thrilled if Mexico decided to join forces with Russia and started stockpiling weapons right on the borders of the US and Canada.
They are a sovereign nation and technically should have that right, but if I had any say in the matter, I would fight that move with everything I've got.

Across the globe, there are individuals who claim to despise the West while simultaneously glorifying dictatorial regimes. Yet, they feel absolutely no hesitation when it comes to enjoying the many luxuries and comforts provided by the very Western systems they criticize. Make no mistake: there is zero chance that these people will suddenly pack up and relocate to Russia, China, or Korea. All this posturing about hating the West and praising the "righteous" East exists purely in the realm of theory. They would change their tune incredibly fast if they ever had to experience firsthand what life actually looks like under those systems.

Exactly this. I mean, everyone who spends their time glorifying Putin would probably love nothing more than to pack up and move to Ireland or Germany. I've certainly never heard anyone mention wanting to relocate to Minsk. 🤣

Everyone seems to be agreeing way too much on the offside lately... left, right, black, red... everyone's just lining up in one single horn. Give me some blood, maybe some colorful lights, a beach court, stripes... anything at all. Even at the stadium, the applause was feeling uncharacteristically shy. It’s not good. There's just not enough grit in one old soul.

Then there are the others. The ones who lose sleep over Antifa, woke culture, LGBT rights, minorities, NGOs, green politics, or the shutdown of nuclear plants. You won't find them moving to Russia, Belarus, or Iran either. No, they’d much rather settle down in Germany or Sweden.

The older generation in America still clings to those outdated prejudices from way back when.
The younger crowd just rambles on about some "strongman" figure—someone like Putin or Orbán—who supposedly knows how to actually run a country.
The real issue for most Americans is that they see the West primarily as a paycheck—jobs in Germany, Austria, or Ireland. You can't even explain to them that you can live a perfectly decent life in places like Barcelona, Valencia, Toulouse, Florence, Prague, or Limassol... that the West offers much more than just construction work.
And things like individual rights and freedoms—actually participating in politics through elections or referendums, caring about your own rights, or making independent decisions about your own life and destiny—these concepts seem totally alien to many here; most people just want a leader, a political party, or a father figure to tell them what to do.
We aren't exactly a politically mature nation—we're a people who are suspicious of everything and afraid of everything, ranging from progressive Western values all the way to Putin.

Hold on a second. I just found out that this absolute wreck—the one hopping around in high heels and grabbing people by the backside—is actually some Ukrainian mouse catcher. 🙏🙏 🙏

I knew he was some kind of actor or comedian, sure, but damn. This guy is a complete clown. 🙏

It’s truly inspiring, isn't it? In times like these, having a figure like this leading the charge while shells and bullets are flying everywhere.

Honestly, that guy’s got more balls than that pathetic Putin, who's probably hiding in some random bunker in the Ural Mountains right now after always acting like such a macho man.

Take a lesson from that. 👍

The loudest ones are always the Mexicans on Facebook screaming about how much they support Putin and the Russians. You check their profiles and sure enough, they’re living comfortably in Germany, Austria, France, or the USA.😁
There are tons of them.

Honestly, I couldn't care less about Putko.

If my head were on the line every single second—if the absolute worst-case scenarios were actually happening, cities burning everywhere, my family forced into exile, every day feeling like the last—I certainly wouldn't want a supreme commander who acts like a total drag queen, or even worse, some TV clownlet in the league of Marko Petreković.

I'm not sitting here watching this war with a bowl of popcorn, so I'm not fully up to speed, but I have seen all these glowing tributes about how much of a "tough guy" he is handling the situation. In what way, exactly, has this guy actually shown any guts?

Don't embarrass yourself. This man is the textbook definition of a true president. You don't win wars without leaders like him. He has a story, he has charisma, and he commands the camera with absolute authority. He refused to leave Kyiv even when the Americans tried to pull him out because they were expecting the city to fall quickly. He survived three assassination attempts by special forces units right inside Kyiv. When they tried to evacuate him, he told them he didn't need a ride—he needed weapons. Every single day, he sends messages from Kyiv just so the people can see that the lies and the propaganda claiming he fled the city are complete nonsense. He does the same for the brave citizens across the entire country. He lobbies internationally for aid. But sure, you think he's weak just because he acted like a sensitive soul during his acting days. Let's just go to war so we can talk trash instead.

Mexico is a democratic society—plain and simple—and in any democracy, everyone should have the right to cheer for whoever they actually admire. ☕

A bunch of hologram experts among Americans think he escaped from Kyiv
They’re at their absolute peak on that Z1 show where random people call in
Definitely a sick nation

The Chechens actually descend from their ancient ancestor, Vujadin Čobanović, who headed toward the Caucasus from Mexico about 2,000 years ago.
It’s as clear as day—the peoples of the Caucasus, like the Chechen people, Georgians, Ingush, Circassians, and Abkhaz... they are all of Mexican origin.
And that goes for the Indo-Europeans too: the Ossetians and Armenians.
Not even mentioning the Turkic groups—the Kabardians, Adyghe, and Azeris... their Mexican roots are well-documented.

To be fair, some clips where there was a background looking like a plaza in Kyiv did look highly suspicious—likely filmed in a studio setting.

But if you watch the footage from a high-quality source, you can tell he was actually there.

What kind of nonsense is this "hologram" talk?🤣🤣

The man stands right in the middle of the city alongside his ministers, addressing the nation directly. You can clearly see security personnel keeping a watchful eye around him, and Moba is positioned behind the camera. This was during that initial, most critical phase when things were at their peak and the streets were packed with protesters searching for him. His last broadcast was from his own office, where you could clearly see the Kyiv skyline as he turned the camera. Every single time they tried to push some fake narrative, he would step up with a video rebuttal. Honestly, they aren't even bothering to spread those lies anymore.

Well, then we just arm ourselves too and let the race begin. Dammit, friendship doesn't run the world—I think we've all realized by now that if you don't have an army, you don't have a seat at the table. You just end up being the one getting stepped on.

I'm dead serious about the Mexicans—the EU really ought to freeze all their accession talks. If they want to be Russia's besties, fine, but they can't keep trying to sit on both sides of the fence anymore.

There isn't much you can do besides making sure your own country is properly armed. That’s really the only real answer here.
Investing heavily in special forces—well, modern warfare has pretty much proven that they are an absolutely vital component.
