Movie recommendations, please!

So I hit up the local video rental shop today, fully intending to grab something actually worth watching
but honestly, I had zero clue what I was looking for.
Do I want a comedy? A heavy drama? Some mindless action?
It was driving me insane.
I spent like half an hour just wandering aimlessly😲 through the aisles, staring at covers, looking, looking...
It was maddening.
Nothing caught my eye enough to actually grab it...

On top of that, I’ve got this stupid habit of picking movies I know I’ve already seen a dozen times.🙄

And guess what I ended up walking away with?😠
Absolutely nothing. They closed the shop right before I could decide.😠 🙄
Seriously, though.... 😵

What is your deal when you're in these fucking video stores?
Do you guys just magically know what you want the second you walk in?

I feel you. Sometimes I spend more than half an hour just wandering through my digital library, hoping something jumps out at me, only to end up picking something I've already seen a dozen times.

I watched Death Waves and Blue Crush
And seen Resident Evil a few times already...

BTW, I returned "Godfather and" today.
I watched it, and all I can say is that it’s basically required viewing.
...And I finally faced that one scene 😁 without breaking a sweat.
The movie is 👍
I don't regret borrowing it; honestly, it's definitely one of the better films I've seen.
Now I've got the sequels, II and III, waiting for me.

The "III II-ojke" crew wasn't in there today.

I first watched this movie back when I was just a kid and thought it was great; last year, I decided to borrow it again just for kicks, and much to my surprise, the film still feels incredibly fresh—it’s fun, the humor lands, the action holds up, and it certainly didn't feel half as stupid as I feared it might now that I'm older. By the way, if I recall correctly, this was one of the very first films to utilize that "morphing" computer animation during the early days of CGI, specifically during the sorceress's transformation scene. And those glacier chase sequences? Still absolutely unmatched. 🙂
In short, for anyone who doesn't have an issue with solid fantasy, consider this my recommendation as well! 👍

Another fantastic watch is "The Salton Sea"... it's as if someone fused Pulp Fiction, Red Rock West, and Trainspotting into one single experience. It’s a drug story, a film noir, and a crime thriller all rolled into one, and it does it brilliantly... definitely worth a look. 👍

I'm not going to sit here and list everything else because there's no point in recommending garbage; take these two from me and enjoy yourselves. 😁
