swiftmaker20 said:So you're actually listening to Noafex?! :2up: :2up:
You're way too young to get Noafex. Your parents probably buy you a new pair of Vans every month, so you think that makes you punk. You absolute anarchist trash.
Go ahead and trash the music if you want, but leave Tolkien and Black metal out of it!
That's basically a religion!

P.S. All those tired clichés about heroes and dragons? Total heavy metal poser move!:2up: :2up:

🙂 🙂

edited: Whatever, stay smart....... just enjoy it 👍

edit 2: I just had to drop a quote from a great man (😛): "Religion is the opium of the people" by Karl Marx

Honestly, we might want to rename this thread to "My Absolute Favorite Short Songs," because there’s a massive pile of tracks under five minutes in here already.

Less than five minutes? even has one that’s basically a second long.

Honestly, I feel like you can wrap everything up and say what needs to be said in about three minutes. Once a song drags on past that, it just starts getting tedious—unless you're lucky enough to get stuck with nothing but an instrumental stretch, 😉

Believe me, it’s totally worth sitting through a ten-minute track or longer... just stick to Pink Floyd. They have plenty of songs running six or seven minutes that are absolute masterpieces in my book. You really have to learn how to just get lost in the music itself, not just obsess over the lyrics. Sure, you can deliver a message or a verse in two minutes, but then you lose the whole vibe. That said, the Ramones are legends, and they deserve nothing but respect.

Maria Morris5 said:Yeah... I can't get behind it either. Honestly, the most nonsensical tracks are those ones where it's just "a dragon showed up, breathed fire all over the city, then some hero rolled in and saved the day, blah blah blah..." It feels like someone spent way too much time binge-reading Tolkien. There’s even that one song where the lyrics go "for the king / for the dwarves / for the mountains..." or whatever. Great, let's just march straight into Mordor and try to save the world from Sauron... 🙂

Haha, you see, you actually love it—you just don't want to admit it... but that’s fine... for instance, Justin Taylor won't admit that St. Anger sucks... but I get it... honestly, that record is higher quality than any punk stuff out there because punk lacks actual substance... it's just pogo-dancing nonsense and nothing more... peace.

Now Playing... Rhapsody - Emerald Sword...

I get you... honestly though, that album is better than any punk trash out there because punk doesn't actually have quality stuff... it’s just mosh pits and nothing else... it's killer.

Look, St. Anger doesn't suck... I saw you headbanging to it earlier.

But why should we be surprised?
When everything else fails, threads like "my favorite song lasting between 3:42 and 7:20 minutes," "the track that captures my mood while sitting in the sun with a vodka soda in hand," or "the song I most frequently belt out in the shower" always manage to garner about fifty replies. Honestly, does anyone actually care what anyone else writes? It seems self-promotion is the only thing that matters, yet we are still human, aren't we? 😁

P.S. Upon further reflection, "what do you sing in the shower" might actually be a decent topic. 😁 For me, it’s "Water Under the Bridge."

Honestly, I’ve never been much of a fan of those super short tracks... I feel like a song really needs some room to breathe and develop to feel complete.

But this one? This is easily my favorite.

Nightwish - ever dream👍
