I attended the reception, and I have to give credit where it's due regarding the guys—specifically the handball players—but the music selection was an absolute nightmare. Honestly, we were forced to endure that repetitive Bajaga track "Neka pati koga smeta" at least seventy-three times; they played it live, then on a recording, then live again, and the cycle just wouldn't end. It was genuinely infuriating.
....then Thompson took the stage, and the crowd went absolutely wild, which was the only part of the night I could actually tolerate.
.....to build on what > mentioned regarding a similar experience... my friend and I started walking from the Square, and the crowds were becoming unbearable. We decided to head over to the P. Club to sit down and wait for the chaos to subside, knowing the atmosphere there is usually quite pleasant. We sat down and began talking, when suddenly a group of four or five drunk locals stormed in. They were shouting and being incredibly loud, barely leaving any space for anyone else 🙄 . The waitress managed to calm them down somehow—if this had been the P. Club, they likely would have been tossed out immediately. They ordered some liquor and brandy, and apparently, the jazz playing wasn't aggressive enough for their tastes 🙄 . They actually asked the waitress if she could play a CD they had. I'm fairly certain they suggested playing Bajaga; I caught the waitress rolling her eyes as they spoke, so I am certain they were asking for Bajaga 😁 . She eventually convinced them that that kind of music isn't played there, and shortly after, they finally left. Thank God for that.
...anyway, that is my account of the situation.
Regards.
