Is it just me, or does the "rumor mill" season feel more exhausting than the actual matches lately?
I was scrolling through some news earlier and it’s the same old story: one club has a hole in their lineup, and suddenly every player in a similar position across Europe is being linked to them. It’s like a giant game of musical chairs, but with much higher stakes and way more speculation than actual substance.
I remember back in the day, you'd hear a rumor and it might actually mean something. Now, it feels like every single training session or casual sighting of a player is treated like a smoking gun for a multi-million dollar move. It makes it so hard to actually enjoy the squad you have when you're constantly being told everyone is about to be swapped around.
Do you guys think these constant links actually help clubs negotiate, or is it mostly just noise to drive up prices?
