I’m looking to pick up a new motherboard, primarily for gaming, though I am planning on doing some overclocking on the CPU—aiming for somewhere in the 4.2 to 4.5GHz range. I don't have a strict budget set in stone just yet, though I certainly wouldn't want to go overboard and drop something like $667 on it.
Here is the hardware lineup I’d be plugging into it:
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz
CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro H80
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (4x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz, Unbuffered, 9-9-9-24, CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 GAMING
PSU: Corsair TX 950W
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB
HDD: 1TB Seagate 7200RPM
HDD: 500GB Seagate 7200RPM
Case: NZXT Phantom 410
So, what would you all suggest? What would be the smartest move here, or perhaps a slightly better upgrade path? (It is also worth noting that whatever board I choose needs to actually fit inside my current case).
