CPU, RAM, and Motherboard recommendations?

Hi there.

Could someone be a lifesaver and recommend which of these three components I should go with? My budget is around $450 at ADM.

I'm looking at 16GB of RAM, though I'd ideally want room to add another module later on.

Because of my case, I'll need an mATX motherboard.

I've already got two SSDs and a 3060 Ti GPU ready to go.

I was looking through the inventory at ADM and honestly, this would probably be the most budget-friendly way to go about it. I double-checked the compatibility lists, and both the processor and the RAM should play nice with that motherboard without any issues

The only little hiccup I noticed—and it's nothing too crazy, just something to keep on your radar—is the BIOS version on the motherboard. It looks like that specific processor won't actually be recognized unless the BIOS is updated to version 2403 or higher

Go with the R5 5600 for that larger L3 cache and PCIe 4.0 support.
Grab a better motherboard, too.
The ASUS TUF Gaming B550-Plus is a solid choice.
And don't forget faster RAM.
I'd recommend the DDR4 16GB (2x8) Kingston 3200MHz Fury BEAST C16.

So, I've put together this little list of parts for an Intel build, and honestly, everything should pretty much work right out of the box without any extra headaches. Just a tiny heads-up though, since the processor doesn't have an iGPU

All the B550 motherboards we suggested are pretty bad for overclocking.
