I was thinking about this while watching highlights from last night. There is a specific kind of mental fatigue that comes with being a fan of a team that constantly travels to hostile environments. It’s not even about the actual game results most of the time; it’s that feeling of being an outsider in a stadium where everyone else is clearly rooting for your downfall.

I remember traveling with my dad to a series a few years back where we were basically the only ones in our section wearing our colors. It felt like we were under a microscope. You start to wonder if the players feel that same isolation on the field, or if they just tune it all out once they step over the foul line. It’s a weird dynamic when you're essentially visiting a different world for a few days.

Do you guys find that your loyalty stays steady when you're playing against teams that are clearly favorites, or do you start feeling that "underdog" anxiety more intensely?
