mistybison 🤣 👍 Seriously, give me a break, that title is way too long 😁

tema "the longer the better?" Vol. 2

Since we finished up the love songs last time, we're looking for tracks with at least 6 words now. "Love" can be included, but it's not mandatory.

Just don't repeat a word count that's already been used. ;-)

01. Pink Floyd - set The Controls for The Heart of The Sun (9)
02. The Rolling Stones - have you seen Your Mother , Baby
03. Jenny Wilson - Bitter no
04. Faces - you Can make me Dance
05. my Chemical romanca - Honey
06. Fred Astaire and Jane Powell - How Could you believe me When i Said i Loved you When you know i ’ ve Been a Liar All my Life
07. Christina lavin - Regretting What i Said to you When you Called me AT Eleven O'clock on a Friday Morning to Tell me that AT One O'clock 😁
08. The end of The World as WE know IT ( and i Feel fin
09. Barry White - I'm gonna Love you Just a Little more Baby

... can we squeeze in one more before we move on to a new thread? 🍿

We are making progress. 🥳

While searching for tracks for this game, I realized just how wild some song titles can be. 😁

tema "the longer, the better?" Vol. 2

Since we finished the love theme in round 5, we are now looking for songs with at least 6 words. It can include "love," but it isn't required.

Please ensure you don't repeat a word count that someone else has already used. ;-)

01. Pink Floyd - set The Controls for The Heart of The Sun (9)
02. The Rolling Stones - have you seen Your Mother , Baby, Standing in The shadow (10)
03. Jenny Wilson - Bitter no, i Just Love to Complain (7)
04. Faces - you Can make me Dance, Sing or anything ( Even taka The Dog for a Walk, Mend, Fuse, Fold Away The Ironing board , or Any Other Domestic Short Comings) (29)
05. my Chemical romanca - Honey, this Mirror Isn't Big Enough for The Two of US (11)
06. Fred Astaire and Jane Powell - How Could you believe me When i Said i Loved you When you know i ’ ve Been a Liar All my Life (21)
07. Christina lavin - Regretting What i Said to you When you Called me AT Eleven O'clock on a Friday Morning to Tell me that AT One O'clock Friday Afternoon you're gonna leave Your Office, go Downstairs, Hail a Cab to go out to The Airport to catch a planuti to go Skiing in The Alps for Two Weeks, not that i Wanted to go with you, i Wasn't Able to leave Town, I'm not a Very Good Skier, i Couldn't Expect you to Pay my Way, but after Going out with you for Three Years, i don't like Surprises !! (96 ... I think)

I don't count instrumental versions of tracks that originally feature singing or spoken word.

Just a heads up, instrumental versions don't count if the original track actually features singing or spoken word.

I find myself at a loss for words:
Pure instrumentals, devoid of any vocalization.
In my view, instrumental versions simply do not count when the original tracks rely on singing or spoken word.

1.) Jean Michel Jarre - Oxygene IV
2.) Santana - Europa
3.) Fleetwood Mac - Albatross
5.) Moonflower by Santana
6.) Stanley Clarke-Campo Americano
7.) Leb - devetka

I don't consider instrumental versions of songs that typically feature vocals or narration to be valid entries here.

@saugaro

@Jerry Robinson56 someone else actually credited this to James Lasta. They won't call it plagiarism, but let's not pretend otherwise either.

I used Kdx 125 as the lead-in.

Something like this, chatterboxes.
Good evening, everyone.
Welcome to the 30+ party at the music lounge in Frankfurt Central Station.

Tonight I'm your djane. We’ll be heavy on the 80s, lighter on the 90s and 70s, and almost nothing from any other decade. We're spinning vinyl again tonight, and don't forget—just like always, I've got a little block of sets with 3 to 5 tracks tucked away. So listen up, guys—young and old—pick a lady to dance with while you still have the eyes to see her. Back in the 80s, plenty of clubs had those kinds of sets. But it wasn't all better in the 80s; tonight I’m free to pick the ladies and the guys (cue the collective groan from the crowd), and of course, ladies picking ladies and guys picking guys (an even louder groan, if it gets loud enough, I'll know there are plenty of gay folks here and we'll lean harder into ABBA, Erasure, and some Fgth remixes). What *was* much better in the 80s and 90s was the price of drinks. To honor the good old days, our long drink of the night is a Campari Orange for 6 DM—or as they say now, 3 bucks. Help yourselves. Most of you won't have parents waiting at home to smell whatever you've been drinking, but if anyone does, that's just more reason to have another round.

Don't forget to submit your wish list. I'll try to work some in, but you know I can't play everything. The next party is in two weeks, right here.

Listen, move with me into the strange world of 80's Dance Music.

I used Kdx 125 as my opening hook.

Something along these lines, if you will.
Good evening, dear guests.
Welcome to the 30+ party at the music lounge in Grand Central Terminal.

Tonight, I am your DJ, and there will be plenty of 80s hits, a moderate amount of 90s and 70s, and significantly less from any other decade. We are sticking to vinyl tonight, and don't forget that, as always, I have a little block of sensation featuring three to five specific tracks in my "set." So, gentlemen—both young and old—choose a lady for a dance promptly. Back in the 80s, many discos had dedicated sets for that. But it wasn't all better in the 80s; tonight, I am free to pick both the ladies and the gents (a collective "oh" from the crowd), and of course, ladies picking ladies or men picking men (an even louder "uh"—if it were loud enough, I’d know there were plenty of gay folks here and we’d lean harder into ABBA, Erasure, and certain versions of Fgth). However, what *was* much better about the 80s and 90s was the price of drinks. To honor those days, today our special drink deal is a "Campari Orange" for $6, or as they say nowadays, about 3 bucks. So, help yourselves; most of you won't have parents waiting at home to judge you by how you smell when you walk through the door. If anyone *does* still have parents waiting like that, well, that’s just more reason to have another drink.

Don't forget you have a wishlist; I'll try to weave some of them in, though you know I can't play everything. Our next party is in two weeks, right here.

Listen, move with me into the strange world of 80s Dance Music.

Me.... one other German😁

I actually owned (back in the 80s) a single where the B-side was even better. The cover had a turquoise border, about 3cm wide, featuring a snippet of a woman in a bikini on a beach 😁. I believe it said Sheila
