Sam Clark75 said:The latest forecast is looking like things will dry up by 3:00, making for a dry race. Just an hour ago, they were calling for rain around 4:00 PM—at least according to what I'm seeing on my end.

Fernando Alonso just mentioned he's skeptical about whether anyone will even touch the slicks today, even if the rain stops. VER says they weren't expecting this much downpour. We'll see how it plays out.

These hourly forecasts are pretty much useless, at least from what I've gathered so far.

I'm done with the fanboy goggles. I can finally just enjoy the standout drives—which lately have mostly been Max's.

Carlos Sainz started P10, fought his way up to 4th, and was still pulling lap times comparable to the Red Bull Racing drivers in those final laps. So yeah, he proved you can make overtakes without absolutely shredding your rubber.
Charles Leclerc didn't have to fight for anything; he spent the whole race driving in clean air.

Look at where Sergio Perez started versus where he ended up.🙂

Honestly, it feels like Max won't have anyone left to chase if Red Bull lets Perez go,
because every single race this season, Perez is outperforming Max...
Which is weird as hell, because let's be real, Perez isn't even in the same league as a driver like Max.

Regardless of how much you praise him, I think Max is driving like garbage this season. He’s barely using even 70% of that car's actual potential...

People keep insisting that Charles Leclerc is basically just playing defense for the rest of the season, picking up easy points since Max Verstappen has already pulled ahead due to those two DNFs. The argument goes that he didn't actually need a win yesterday, and he won't need one today either.

That logic only holds water if Charles can manage to finish every single race from here on out, but history tells us his luck is far too volatile—especially when he’s the one making the mistakes. Just look at what happened in Monaco last year, or back in Bahrain a couple of seasons ago when he collided with Sergio Perez...

The NASCAR season is a marathon, and any driver who starts playing it safe is eventually going to lose everything...

I might just pass out from the excitement
I can only dream of one day getting to stroll down the grid right before the green flag drops....

Man, don't go passing out on us!
Just soak it all in for both of us. 👍👍

Carlos Sainz isn't the one to blame here, not by a long shot.

Nobody is to blame, apparently.

Oh, he's definitely responsible, I really think so. He probably should have realized that Daniel Ricciardo was right there on his tail! I mean, if you can't see him in your peripheral vision and he hasn't shown up in your rearview mirror yet, it doesn't mean he just vanished into thin air, right? He really should have been more aware of his surroundings.

I honestly think Haas should just bring Mazepin back. There wouldn't be any noticeable difference between him and Mick anyway.

There are plenty of other drivers out there who could step up—but apparently, you need a famous last name to get a seat these days, don't you?
