Yeah—and then he goes and shakes the champagne in slow motion too.

How did that legend put it...? "We'll see who's a real driver and who's just a fraud."

What was the exact quote again? Anyone remember?

You keeping track of how things are moving? 🤔

I don't know. He couldn't even manage to lift the trophy above his head. Given that he had to give absolutely everything over 70 laps, I'm not even surprised.

How much water do they usually carry in the cockpit for hydration?

Carlos Sainz just got hit with a penalty 🤦
Probably a heavier one than Valtteri Bottas, since he was busy chatting with his crew over the radio during the formation lap...

Look, we can let Rosberg slide—no biggie

But

forget it

if you think Damon Hill winning at Williams after that '96 Monaco race was impressive

Or that '98 run with Hill in Jordan

Then Jacques Herbert in the Stewart back in '99

Lewis Hamilton during the McLaren 07 - 12 era

Button during the Brawn 09 era

Or even Button over at McLaren

Man, ALE... seriously...

I actually sat down to watch All about Eve this morning, though I can't help but think a remake should probably be titled All about Lewis.

It’s funny how Grozny got slapped with a race ban after that wreck at Spa-Francorchamps, especially since I remember that track having way fewer cars on it back then...
And in the end, this nonsense from Valtteri Bottas is just as bad, if not worse, than what Grozny did, yet he still walks away with 5th place. 🤦

darkmarlin16 said:The Sky Sports crew mentioned Alain Prost and Renault—apparently, the last time a Frenchman won in a French car.

But it seems they forgot about Panis

Alain Prost was indeed the last Frenchman to win in a French chassis with a French engine. 😁

Carlos Sainz just got hauled in front of the stewards right in the middle of his interview 🤣 Looks like Ferrari is going to screw him over too. There was some talk about something happening on the radio during the formation lap

But

You're totally forgetting

Your favorite guy, Damon Hill, winning in Williams right after that '96 Monaco race

And then, oh yeah, Hill again over at Jordan in '98

Then you've got JJ Bert driving for Stewart in '99

Lewis Hamilton during his McLaren 07 - 12 with Button era

Button winning it all in the Brawn 09

And then Button back in the McLaren

Man, ALE...

Take a moment to process what darkmarlin16 and Mirko were actually getting at.

Then again, if this were some trivia question, I’d say we’re talking about the Prost Peugeot. 😁

Yeah, a penalty is a total lock...
They wouldn't call him in if it wasn't. A penalty hits if the crew talks to the driver, not the other way around...
But hey, the driver takes the hit even if someone on the Ferrari pit wall is being an idiot. I guess that's what happens when you drive for these clowns...

but in the end, this Bottas nonsense is just as bad, maybe even worse—yet he still walks away with just a 5-place penalty. 🤦

You're forgetting that only Kašeta and Landač got kicked out of the race.

Stroll took out everyone else.

Sainz absolutely crushed it today, seriously. If he hadn't had Hamilton breathing down his neck the whole time, he probably would've stayed out on track even longer because he was absolutely shredding those gaps to the leaders. At that rate, a podium finish was basically a done deal.

but honestly, this absolute nonsense from Bottas feels just as bad, if not worse, than what Grozny did, yet he still walks away with a measly five-place penalty. Just typical. 🤦

Grozny nearly killed a man.
