What a day for the Alpine F1 Team. History was just made again after eighteen long years.
It’s as if Fernando carried the entire team on his back.

Fernando Alonso is defending himself exactly the way he always has since his return to driving for McLaren Racing and the Alpine F1 Team. He pushes right up against the limit of what's allowed, often leaving you with no choice but to either lift off the throttle or risk making contact.

A classic GOAT-style beatdown 🙏 🙏

Huge thanks to Fernando Alonso. Honestly, if it wasn't for the veteran, Esteban Ocon wouldn't even be looking at podium finishes today.

Seriously?
Come on, why are you getting so worked up? That was an incredible race. It isn't Vettel or Ocon's fault that Bottas completely botched the start for the entire crew, nor is it their fault that Mercedes decided not to put Lewis on slicks at the beginning.

Valtteri Bottas was handed a five-place grid penalty after forcing three cars off the track. 😬

I don't get why they gave everyone intermediates right after that red flag.
did nobody even check the track? 😵

And hey, he’s locked in with that contract through at least 2026...

I’m with you on that one—Sainz Jr. was basically glued to Hamilton's gearbox from the get-go.
You have to give credit where it's due—for the most part, Valtteri Bottas was the one who basically handed that win over to Esteban Ocon.

The ultimate irony here is that if Williams Racing keeps up this current trajectory, Nicholas Latifi might actually end the season with more points than George Russell. 🤣
I honestly don't even know how to put this into words.

But honestly—you gotta admit—it was mostly Valtteri Bottas who really paved the way for Esteban Ocon's win.
I don't think Bottas had much to do with it, though... maybe Mercedes just secured it by deciding not to switch to slicks too early.

Didn't anyone bother to actually check the track conditions?😵
Do you mean they *left* them on? I mean, obviously they aren't allowed to swap tires while the red flag is flying, right?

The wind was blowing and the sun came out—track dried up crazy fast. During the red flag, everything was still soaked.

If I remember correctly, there were some changes at the last race.
