Insulting = 1-day ban, pointing it out = 2-day ban. Which explanation is actually correct?

Just a quick recap of everything this forum regular said to me last Friday at 1:41 PM:

- rude patient

- you moron

- you idiot

- idiot

- fuck off, dummy

He was posting away without any issues until late that night—his last post was Friday at 11:13 PM. So, if he actually got banned, it happened sometime early Saturday morning. It’s Sunday now, and here he is, posting again...

So, all that verbal abuse earns him a ONE-day timeout, but because I pointed it out, I get TWO days? Makes perfect sense.

Which part of my explanation explains why a blatant insult deserves a lighter penalty than me calling it out?

I suppose you were expecting a gold star after all those posts criticizing the mods without ever learning not to do it. Well, it doesn't work that way, and we aren't going to allow it from anyone, just as we haven't until now. If you keep this up, it might even get more expensive for you.

And no, it shouldn't be locked. I'll admit I'd bail right now if Nico would just confirm it's totally standard procedure to give a measly 24-hour ban for:

- being rude to a patient

- calling someone a moron

- calling them an idiot

- being a complete jerk

- telling someone to buzz off, you clown

...when the penalty is only a single day...

If Nico writes out that this is the "normal procedure" for such blatant insults all in one post, then fine—I'll back down.

Look, your ban is just for two days because of how those points have been stacking up. You didn't get hit with a 200-point penalty for breaking the rules; you only got 30. Whatever happened with your previous points is a whole different issue we'd need to look at separately.
