Finished the book. It was decent enough. I’m a big fan of Amy Adams, so I’m definitely looking forward to seeing the movie adaptation.

This one actually looks pretty intriguing. Plus, they’ve managed to pull together a solid cast. 🙏

I’ve seen the parody on The Simpsons, caught it in Mad 70s, and even saw it on Raising Hope.

Americans are obsessed with this movie. I mean, the original was great, so let's see if this one can actually hold its own.

What do you mean by the original? Are you talking about "Rear Window"? Aside from the whole voyeurism thing and a supposed murder involving a wife, there isn't much else in common. But honestly, it definitely gave me those same vibes right away.

What original? The book came out in 2018. It might borrow some vibes from Rear Window, but calling it a remake is a stretch.

The book is fine—decent enough to read—but it feels like a blatant attempt to ride the coattails of The Girl on the Train. I expect the movie will follow suit: something forgettable that fades away quickly.

All it had was some guy with a broken leg getting bored and spotting a murder.

I honestly thought this was going to be a remake of that Langov classic from 1944, but I guess it’s actually something else entirely.

Just finished watching.
Amy Adams is great, but I was honestly expecting much more from this one.
To be fair, it kept my attention until the end, mostly because I just had to see if Punch would pull it off.

Look, it’s a bad movie, but more importantly, it’s just plain boring.

All this hype for nothing. I was actually looking forward to this one, too. Total mid.

The movie was a total disaster. It’s no surprise they cut their losses and offloaded it to Netflix. 👎
It’s all because of the cast—too much ego, too little talent.
