Regardless of how things look at Ferrari, and even if Leclerc is probably more popular there than Vettel, if the kid actually went against team orders, he went against the crew. And in a place like Ferrari, that is an absolute, hard no. 😉

total racing incident, honestly, either Sainz should’ve closed the door better or left some breathing room, or maybe Max could've just backed off and tried to slice through later since he would've had the DRS, because look, Max can totally screw himself up too, he just didn't this time

Regardless of how things look at Ferrari or if they probably prefer Leclerc over Vettel, if the kid really did ignore team orders, that means he went against the crew. And in an organization like Ferrari, that is a massive, absolute no-no 😉

lol How could they not? They’re basically about to throw away 10 points (they could have even lost all 25 if it wasn't for the SC), all just to teach the kid a lesson.

BTW, they didn't tell him, "You aren't allowed to overtake"; they told him to hold off for two more laps. But honestly, considering how fast he snatched Vettel, it was probably better for Ferrari anyway (since having him brake less helps push him toward Hamilton).

Sainz's attempt to overtake was pretty much the same mess as Leclerc's in Australia. It was obvious he didn't have the move, but there was absolutely no way it was going to work like that...
The one huge, massive difference is that Sainz went for a violent shut-out and tried to ram Max once he realized he had zero chance left...
Leclerc, on the other hand, stayed calm and smart—he didn't try to force a collision and just backed off from a failed move...

Basically, Sainz was trying to pull a move like Max used to do in previous seasons. 🙂
Just force your way in and see what happens. If the guy brakes, I'm past him; if he doesn't, we crash, whatever...
He should've gone to Dr. Marko's school instead of joining McLaren...
