Remember that crash between Pastor Maldonado and Gutierrez at the fourth corner back in 2014?

Fourth corner.
Back in 2013—Sergio Perez and Jenson Button were constantly battling it out during that race. This was just one of those moments.

ninth and tenth corner 2005
Back in 2005, Michael Schumacher loses control for a second during the race. That particular section of the track is notoriously brutal; the braking point for the tenth corner actually sits right in the middle of the ninth.

The dust hasn't even settled from Albert Park yet, and we're already heading to Bahrain for round two of the 2019 championship. That scorching wasteland of a track has always been an unmatched challenge, but with the night race setup, it feels a bit more manageable for the drivers.
Even though we had a pretty good idea of how things would shake out in Australia, the weekend still delivered some slight disappointments alongside a few bright spots. For instance, Honda actually surprised everyone by finally grabbing a win—their first time on top since the 2008 British GP when Rubens Barrichello pulled it off. On the flip side, Ferrari really fell short due to some questionable reliability issues. Ricciardo didn't seem to show any real pace, though maybe he's just still struggling to get acclimated. Pierre Gasly might be the biggest disappointment of the bunch, which leads to all that speculation about whether Kvyat might take his spot. Honestly, it's all just guesswork right now. It’s probably better to wait until the first actual race on a permanent track before we try to draw any real conclusions.
The Bahrain GP didn't disappoint during this new V6 era, so I'm really hoping we get another exciting performance out of them.
