Ted 2 (2015)

This might be the single worst sequel ever made. The original was an absolute masterpiece, but this... it’s just pure garbage.

I wasn't huge on Amanda either, but considering how much she usually gets on my nerves, she was actually alright here.

Interesting movie ratings on this forum. It's always extremes here—nobody ever lands in the middle.

I thought the first part was excellent; the forethought they put into it was top-notch...
Ideally, they should have just left it at that, but once the money started talking, all bets were off...

Most people who aren't fans of Ted just don't get the humor or the whole vibe of the story. It's basically the same thing twice—the second one is a bit funnier, sure, but they're pretty much cut from the same cloth.

I'd have to agree. I caught the first one a few days before seeing the sequel in theaters, and they're decent enough. They lean heavily into that specific brand of American humor (if you can even call it that 🤔), but it works. If you compare them, the second film has a better female lead and a broader, faster-paced story.

I actually downloaded the first part because I honestly thought it would be something my "friend" would appreciate.
Man, did I ever eat dirt. It was so cringe I felt physically sick—I ended up having to apologize just to stop the secondhand embarrassment from killing me... 🤦

The first movie was honestly amazing. I was laughing my head off, quoting lines for months afterward, and sticking up for him whenever people called the character stupid. I even recommended it to anyone looking for a solid comedy. I was such a huge Ted fan!

But this... this is hands down the biggest pile of trash I’ve ever sat through. I never thought a movie—especially a sequel to Ted—could be this brainless!
Everything feels fine enough until that lawyer character shows up (for the first 15 minutes or so, it was actually funny). After that, it’s just a straight slide into total garbage.

I waited so long for this one. I'm just so disappointed. And btw, this is literally the first movie in my life that actually made me fall asleep. I have no clue how it ends. Honestly, I don't even care.

I just finished my first watch yesterday and dove straight into the sequel today. Honestly? Both were great. The whole concept behind Ted is brilliant, and I actually dig the edgy American humor—it fits his character perfectly. It was a blast.

Finally dragged myself around to watching this movie after ages.
And man, I gotta say, I’m totally blown away by 😁
Honestly, I think this is one of those rare gems where the sequel actually outshines the original.
Like people have been saying—no Mila Kunis, they trimmed the villain down to just a few scenes (huge win in my book), and the dark humor hits way harder here than it did in the first one.
There are some killer Easter Eggov scattered throughout, but there's one thing bugging me:
What was that deal with Liam Neeson at the end? When he tells him, "I won't forget this, Ted..."—it felt like something was missing there, you know?
Also, the guy calls his son Apollo Creed Clubber Lang (total nod to Rocky 3)
I ended up rewinding that scene like ten times. 🤣

I actually preferred the first one; this one just isn't quite as engaging.
