Hey everyone. So, I’m dealing with some absolute nightmare WiFi issues today. I was just scrolling through my phone to check something when, out of nowhere, the WiFi symbol just vanishes. It’s gone. I tried re-entering the password, but my phone keeps insisting it’s wrong. I actually logged into the router settings to double-check, and nope—the password is definitely correct. I even went ahead and changed the password entirely and rebooted the whole damn router, but my phone is still stuck on that "incorrect password" loop. The weirdest part? My laptop is working perfectly fine.

I've been using AT&T lately, and honestly, they’ve been doing nothing but testing my patience these past few days. One day the connection just dies completely, so I call them up, and what do they tell me? They say a bunch of other people are reporting the exact same thing and basically tell me to sit tight and wait.
Does anyone have any idea what the hell is going on here?

I don't mean to be rude, but if they don't realize you've already reached out—how are we supposed to know? Maybe give them another call if you're still dealing with this mess and just insist they swap out the router for a new one.

That’s also an issue with the Xfinity router; they tend to run into similar glitches that eventually require a replacement. My girlfriend dealt with the exact same thing, but after about half a day, the connection finally stabilized and she hasn't had any trouble since.

Try wiping your network settings from your phone and reconnecting from scratch. Don't just blindly punch in the password when the prompt pops up.
Honestly, I’m right there with you on the fact that Google's router is absolute garbage. Especially that little white Cisco unit without any antennas; my Wi-Fi was dropping constantly, and all customer support would do was recite some scripted mantra about how they had zero grounds to swap out the hardware.
That’s exactly why I ended up ditching them for Comcast, and honestly, I haven't dealt with a single headache since.
